In the Rudolph day post I asked people to show us their finds. After a trip to Home Bargains I found these little bargains:

I am taking the children to SeaLife using my vouchers and know from experience that at the end they always want some animals from the shop! I found these for a BARGAIN 19p a pack:

I used a flash to over-expose the pic so you can see the details on the animals!!

My dad is always fishing and said he wanted to start recording his catches so I was thrilled to find this book for 99p:

They had a section with loads of hair items all for 29p each. There was only bare hangers but I did manage to snag one of these:

And lastly, We have these little 19p bargains which are perfect for stocking fillers or countdown to christmas hampers:

A glow in the dark Yo Yo and a leapfrog game which has really great quality acrylic frogs inside. I also thought these might be perfect for the charity shoeboxes as all kids love both of those things.

That's it for the bargains!! I hope I have infected you all :D

Last year I had the tree up in october LOL and I felt sorry for the kids waiting so long for Christmas, I think this year I may do a countdown to Christmas hamper so they have something to do every day.

Well she shouldn't have said it needed a professional clean SHOULD SHE!! Serves her right :p Hope everything goes well Sugarspun and how absolutely adorable.. we have a baby girl ready to be christmassed as a future Thrifty Gifty. Have you thought of any names yet?

Names are a closely guarded secret. I told my grandmother before she died, and although I'm pretty sure she blabbed nobody will be passing on the gossip as we made it clear we'd change the name if that happened and be devastated. It's partly superstition and partly simply not to offend family members who weren't as lucky as the chosen one/s.

Have been very good today - have resisted all the crafting links that I've come across on here and the ones that arrived in my inbox have been deleted - £2 has gone into my pot for the last 2 days . :D

Can't remember what's been going on here though so hugs to anyone who wants one - I know I'm rubbish - lol.

Guy came to pick up the skip this afternoon I was collecting DD from school at the time but he passed me on the way back as he had to stop as everything was sliding off :rotfl:. He'd told OH to sling the doors (which was why we got the first skip) that wouldn't fit in on the top and had forgotten to put the net on :D and that was after trimming the trees down the lane with the lorry - will save the guy from the farm next door a job ;).
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

If she was even half the person you are then I can imagine she is also the brightest star in the sky, lighting the way through the dark.. because that is what you do for me when I need someone xx :A

Where is everyone! I feel as though I am talking to myself!!

SylphRaven Bought up some excellent points she found from last years OrganizedChristmas Rudolph Club and I thought that perhaps next month we could have a crafting for christmas month :D

Early bird Christmas crafting will be on QVC and I have found some brilliant things for you all to make.

What does everyone think? Who fancies getting some materials with me and having a bash at some home made gifts?

Sounds great mel - I'm up for that - got two items made for the christmas boxes we'll be doing on here already. But I need some deadlines when I'm crafting or I don't get anything done. Like when you did the about us challenge on ukscrappers - I got it done cos there was a challenge set down to work to. I'm better with deadlines or targets.

Saying that I'll set some down for today so I'll get somewhere...
    going to scrap one page
going to buy one christmas gift on ebay today
    clean bathroom
    tidy our bedroom
    do ironing
order fridge freezer through casback site
find trampoline and order through cashback site

If I get the latter done I'll scrap a page this afternoon while dd is at nursery

I won an alex the lion backpack for 99p on ebay yesterday - well chuffed cos it's dd's fave and it's her birthday in 2 weeks. The trampoline she's getting is neutral, her thumbelina doll is neutral with surveys I'd done, so I only have aout 2.99 to cover for some small gifts and books I got as bargains. Her party is covered with the money I raised at the car boot. I love neutrality!!!

Scattymam All you need to do right now is get all of the materials ready. NEXT Rudolph day (May 25th) will see the start of the 'crafting for christmas' month which will have a deadline for the following month. Hope that makes sense xx

You are talking to yourself :p ... first sign of madness! :rotfl:

Sugarspun congrats on the beautiful baby girly :)

Mel - Lovely animals! Something my son never got into, some real bargains there and very MSE ;)

Whats the fabric for? I don't think I would be able to watch QVC does that mean I can't take part??

I made up a cupcake box last night and whilst it isn't perfect I reckon it looks fab! even better if it was decorated!!! I think I need some kind of spotty or swirly stamp .... I really want to learn how to stamp, I have seen people saying that they just use a pen on the stamp and that works better than ink? but others swear by using ink?

Arrrggghhh ... I need to find a mega cheap stamp and give it a try! ... any suggestions?
