Oh have I been crying this afternoon! Just watched The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas :( OMG I don't think i've ever cried so much at a film. I can't even say it's one of those films that has made me cry but i've enjoyed watching it, I didn't enjoy it at all. It was just too sad and if i'd known what it was about, I wouldn't have even watched it. :o

We've just been watching Bedtime Stories to cheer me up :D Love that film!

Sylphraven - congrats on the arrival of your new nephew, hope you're better soon so you can go see him :)

Paddingtondoo - can't believe you got told off for that! How daft are some people!

    Evening everyone!
I have a working extractor fan in the kitchen after 2 years :j:j:j.
Won it off eBay and went to pick it up tonight OH insisted fitting it straight away - not even as much swearing as usual :rotfl:.

Had a snigger to myself when he asked me to pass him the flange not sure rusty would enjoy sitting on top of my kitchen cupboard...............................

Had a carp day at work supervisor told me off for sitting in the wrong seat when I pointed out that my assigned seat had no pc or phone at it she said she would have to check as there was one on her floor plan  was I supposed to just sit there with my scrapbook mag all day rather than answer calls????? Wonder how long it would have taken her to notice :rotfl:

:rotfl: Oh even sniggered at that comment about me ;) I leave thought trains in everyones heads :D:D:D

Hi everyone, I have thanked you all but I haven't had time to read anything yet. If there are some major tragedys going on please don't think I'm an inconsiderate cow.

Just wanted to do a quick update!

I haven't been able to sleep all week.. we have got this new house and everything looked so promising, all the paperwork as done. I have packed loads of my house into boxes.. it is a state and there are boxes everywhere.

Couldn't sleep all night with excitement, 5 years I have waited for this.

I got there, she opened the door and said 'Oh, I didn't realise the door opened like that, there is no way you could get a stair lift there, sorry'. That was it. I didn't even get to go inside the house.

I waited half an hour in her office and trekked to the house for this. I actually started crying and felt like an idiot but I was so deflated. I am back to square one now and have been told it will be practically impossible to get a house that will be suitable or already adapted.

Back to square one but with a house full of cardboard boxes.

Oh dear PLM how can they treat you like that? Moving house is traumatic enough without complications...How come they didn't check out what you need bfore it got to this stage? Sorry, that's not very helpful starting to rant on like that on your behalf. I'll pm you.
  • Oh i really want to SWEAR £*£*$&"&$&%£&% I just wrote a exceptionally long post and i pressed backspace and the whole page went back so i lost it all.:mad:
    :rudolf::xmassmileHappy (Belated) Rudolph Day everyone!!:xmassmile:rudolf:

Right, first things first i'm really sorry i have been AWOL AGAIN!!
I keep missing things and it's annoying.
    Organised Christmas Cupboard
*LOTS of Hamper bits, ie smellies, trinkets etc
    *Dave's Nan- Hamper(superdrug soap, soap holder-£1 ish/Radox smellies)
*Cuddly toys (for the kids in the families)
*ONE CHRISTMAS ADVENT ITEM(brought although a bargain, i'm really jealous of whoever gets it)

I've been buying mostly when there are promos. Brought an 11 piece baby set for 99p on ebay, excellent for nappy cakes.
Talking of EBAY i'm well chuffed, i've made my first couple of sales and got £9 out of two lush items (the ones i got from the grab bags)and i'm planning on more (am only selling light items until i have enough money to be able to pay for postage on the bigger items)

    Mel's Challenges
    1. I have SO many shop brought cards from years and ears ago (the same goes for tags), i'm only making handmade cards for the special people
    2. My savings tin is still going, not as well as i had hoped but i'm redoubling my efforts to put money into it
    3. Ebay- I need to get a better idea of what exactly i need to buy, will check for light items and last minute bargains.
    4. Meal plans- I am forward planning my meals so mum will save a bit on me.
    5. Decluttering- I have sorted the spare room, the bed's down, you can actually get in it and the boxes are nicely stacked behind the wall, i just need to sift through the boxes and ebay or keep if suitable for christmas.

Last year i made three hampers, and one sweetie jar, I only have pics of MIL and OH sweetie jar.

    OH Sweetie Jar

Wow they're HUGE!! There was SO much inside the hamper that it was incredible. Only spent £15-£20 on it. Oh sweetie jar was full of all his favourite sweets, he loved it.

I'm off into town tomorrow to see what i can pick up in the charity shops and the £ stores and the cheap ones, also going to see what promos there are at the supermarkets, need to post my ebay items...

God i so can't wait for Christmas to come round, i'm really excited that this one is going to be a good one, especially as we don't have a lot of money, every man and woman is getting something handmade, whether it be a card, facial scrub, food, vodka etc i definitely want to try homemade :D

Have subscribed to the OS tips thread, i'm writing them as we speak, hope to make my own collection that i can then pass on to my kids and people i know.
I'm really excited, the sales will be on soon, all of us will be prepping for christmas and birthdays, its a really nice feeling of being organised.
Although it is 'fession time, I have not extended my organisational skills to birthdays yet:rotfl:
Off to play catch up with posts etc

    Love and hugs
    ..xx
I am only me, no pretences, no second guesses.. It's the best I can do, I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you... I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :A
