    Father's Day

Has anyone got or thought about Father's Day pressies yet? I found this idea for a DIY photo cube... http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/mar/16/homemade-mothers-day-presents-photo-cube
Amazon sell a clear plastic one for £2.92 which would be easier but think I may try and do it the thrifty way and make my own. Going to make one for OH, my dad and OH dad. Nice cheapie pressie :D

    Morning all, :hello:
& what a morning! as of 2:15 this morning I have a new nephew, unfortunately I am getting over the flu & still snuffily so cant go see him for a little while :( Dont want to pass my germs on.

I have another 31000 toluna points so have put in for another amazon voucher. Also am 500 points away redeeming on bingoport after a couple of wins last night so should get those tomorrow :)
36p more points on my boots card due to buying medicine this morning.
Think thats all atm, dont think I'll make the £75 but I'll keep going. Nothing on ebay to give it a quick boost & those I want to put on will be 10 day auctions, not bins.

Mum2one - you did really well, you should be proud of yourself & I'm glad your moms ok.

Hayley - can you take a cushion or something with you to make the seats more comfortable for yourself?

Rusty - keeping everything crossed for you & your OHs interview.

Scatty - I hope your morning sickness ends soon.

Rainmac - Lovely idea, unfortunately I dont think my OH or his dad would appreciate it :( but leads nicely onto what I was reading this morning...

...I was looking on the organised christmas wesite, they havent posted an april rudolf day blurb yet (hope everything is ok) but I took a gander at last years. In short its says plan holiday crafts, finish your UFOs (un finished objects to get yourself ahead, dont be afraid of making multiple gifts of the same thing, such as spending a session on making several melt-&-pour-soaps, make sure the gift suits the person its aimed at, when making decorations make sure they wont clash with ones you/others already have. Plan & make now rather than leaving it to either be rushed or join the pile of UFOs at the last minute. Makes a lot of sense to me.
You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground
  • Spag bol for me tonight as well!

Off to Belgium for the day tomorrow (fag run)

Ferry is only £18 return, will spend a fortune, but it will save me money in the long run.

Only have two days left at work after this, then no more daytime MSE for me.

    Hi

I'll jump on the end of yours

I'm mum2one, (Cheryl), slightly scatty, a professional complainer,(as dd would say), attempting to do Open Uni,for a degree in Business with Law, have a whole load of family stories!!

My dd,(Karen), or otherwise known as Miss Hoodie, or "dont you know who I am I was famous".

I will hunt for tips, money making, and cashbacks, as long as its legal I'll do it, unfortunately stuck on crutches for the last 7 yrs, back and hips gone dodgy, built for comfort not speed. Love my holidays and now after being in Tunisia dd has now got the travel bug.

    My crafting skills
no comment, but can knit, will have a bash at card making and have done a few.

Totally addicted to HalfCost, (that I brought 800 cards for £5.00 thought it was 80)

Was money neutal 2008,aiming for same for 2009, brought sat nav- money neutral.

Have Amazon fund -£70 2wards Wii for dd 4 xmas

40 in 2 yrs and have set myself 40 things to do before 40, got my debtfree date as April 2013, but want to bring forward. Ilove the Orient Express.

Think thats me for now xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

do you mean computer games? maybe do him a gamers hamper
bag or box with the games you already have him along with anything else you can find that is game related or things he can have whilst playing his games - maybe a couple of bottles of beer, some of his fave sweets, a computer game mag, maybe look for some cheats online for his new games and make them into little prompt cards to slip in. Beer and sweets won't add up to much money.

or maybe if you didn't want to do computer maybe do 30 things for his 30th!

    These are silly/ cheapish ideas...

This is an empty box with a cute poem... http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=453

Name a star for free... http://www.freenameastar.com/register.php

    Survival kit for a 30th birthday... http://www.budget101.com/recipes/sk12.htm

    Make a cake?

Buy a coin from the year he was born? Should get one on ebay.

You could find out the number one single of the year he was born and see if you could get a copy/download it.

Errr, run out of ideas for now. Hope it helps x

    Evening everyone!
I have a working extractor fan in the kitchen after 2 years :j:j:j.
Won it off eBay and went to pick it up tonight OH insisted fitting it straight away - not even as much swearing as usual :rotfl:.

Had a snigger to myself when he asked me to pass him the flange not sure rusty would enjoy sitting on top of my kitchen cupboard...............................

Had a carp day at work supervisor told me off for sitting in the wrong seat when I pointed out that my assigned seat had no pc or phone at it she said she would have to check as there was one on her floor plan  was I supposed to just sit there with my scrapbook mag all day rather than answer calls????? Wonder how long it would have taken her to notice :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
