I am now in a foul mood
My sister has decided to start having a go and questioning us on where we are getting money to live, they are both living in a caravan rent free as they use someone elses electric and live on their land without having to pay it. They also get dole money which I know isn't a lot but we don't qualify to get anything which really annoys me. she basically started having a go so I got annoyed and replied telling her all of the sites I use for try and get extra money and using things like music magpie and CEX and daily clicks and surveys etc....
My sister and I have never had a good relationship, even with her living in bulgaria it didn't stop the arguments and she always likes to have a good stir and trys to cause trouble by saying that various family members have said this and that cause she knows I will get so worked up by it I will get in touch with them and have a go
I am refraining today ... well sort of, I sent an email with links in to the others see if it can help them and a couple of friends aswell .....
No more though .... I can't be bothered with any of it
Is it just me who doesn't have a nice sister :rotfl: Thank god I didn't have 2 girls cause if they were like me and my sister I think I would kill themRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Sorry to hear about that Rusty, I get on quite well with my sisters and would dread it if something like this happened. Sounds like she is very jealous of you to me. Just let it be and you can hold up your head and say I'm doing things the right way.
I know what its like not to have much money, I have never had much money, had to bring up my two eldest on my own and still dont have much money to myself even now I am with my OH so every penny I can make on the sites is really appreciated.0 -

Morning ladies, & anyone else, lol
I'm having a very busy day today, coz I'm going to do NOTHING!!!
ok, thats a lil fib, I'm still going to have to do a little bit of tidying & cleaning, & cook meals but apart from that I'm going to do relaxing enjoyable things (I hope!). You see I'm cream crackered at the mo, LO is teething & having restless nights, though he isnt waking up very often he's making a lot of noise which disturbs me, I'm also totally off the caffeine (woohoo), which used to pep me up. I could me anemic as well which wouldnt help. I get in from shopping & just want to go to sleep, & by 5pm it feels like bedtime so after I've typed this I'm going to get into my comfy clothes, grab a coffee & relax with some sewing or something.
Sorry to hear your having a bad day Rusty, I agree with Rufus, she sounds jealous. You dont enquire about her finances so why on earth would she be so rude to have a go & ask about yours, tell her you'll send her a referal to some of the sites, & make sure its ones that you get referal points from, lol.
I have a fairly good relationship with my lil sis, I let her raid my crafting stash, have been teaching her the ways of moneysaving (such as bootsing) & at times she'll babysit for me. Its not all plain sailing though as I end up being a 2nd parent to her at times. Hasnt always been that either, theres a 9 year age gap between us, when we were younger I was at the gothic stage, & had always been a tom boy, she was very girly girly all in pink, I couldnt stand her, lol.
Only had a tiny amount of snow here but its FREEZING cold this morning.
Rufus, at the moment if you spend £5 in boots you get a £5 off no7 & ruby millie voucher, brings the price of their foundations down to almost 1/2 price. I very rarely wear foundation but have heard good things about the no7 one. At your daughters age I wasnt allowed to wear foundation as my mom was terrorfied I'd block my pores so I used to use a dusting of talc (my skin is very pale), looked fine but think that was worse than any foundation for my pores, lol.
GZ sugarspun, I hope your honeymoon is everything you want it to be.
Hi Pig, Shelley & any other newbies out there, grab a cuppa, pull up a pew & join in the natter. You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
Thanks for that sylph, didnt lnow about the voucher. I am going to the big boots next week do will have a look and see whats on offer then. I told her about blocking her pores but "all the girls do it" lol so just make sure she takes it all off when she gets in.
My eldest daughter is like you and your sister although there is an even bigger age gap there, my eldest two are 31 (son) and 27 (daughter) and as I said youngest is 13. She used to have more in common with her nephews and nieces lol as I have 4 grandchildren but now this year she seems to be "growing up" bless.0 -
Rusty, you are going through the mill a bit lately aren't you. So wish I was round the corner and I'd come armed with chocolate and crafty stuff so we could have a chat and set the world to rights and craft as well
.
Me and my brother get on ok but often don't agree. We live very different lives. How you are getting by in my opnion (for what it's worth - not much I know!) is really none of your sister's business.
I think your daughter and my little son have loads in common: similar age, he is a whirlwind, a headbasher and can out-tantrum any girl I have ever met. But he's also lovely, he is who he is.
Many congratulations Mrs Sugarspun :T I too would love to see some pics
Hello to everyone, hope you all have a good day. My OH is flying back from Dubai, as I type, boys are so excited, hopefully he'll be back in time for school pick-up this afternoon, will blow Jack away if his dad is there
Going to try and make a book card thing for the challenge on the card making thread, I set the challenge and lots of people have made fantastic creations (including Mrs Rusty) but I am struggling with the idea of what I wanted to do so am going to try and make a start on something else.

morning everyone!
rusty sorry to hear about your sister - I agree and it sounds like she is jealous of you. I really appreciate the links you have sent as it will give me the kick up the backside to do some of them and I appreciate all the hard work you have done putting them all in one place. Thank you:D my family always question our lack of money their response is always "OH has a good job where does all your money go?" yes he does get a reasonable wage but mine is peanuts and we have two kids and a fairly big mortgage. we also spend quite a bit on the kids' activities - which is our choice and I don't begrudge it just means there is not alot left at the end of the month - but they don't see that. sorry i have diverted from your problem rusty - and I think you are coping wonderfully with no income.
sylphraven - enjoy your relaxing day - you deserve it! we need to build up our energy from time to time especially with little ones.
I too got my first issue of scrapbook inspirations yesterday (must cancel my direct debit!). looking forward to having a good read.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

My daughter had to do a project for art making up their fav foods from anything they like so she knitted some fruits and made a bowl out of paper mache and we have just had a letter home saying how excellent it was and she has got a merit for it lol. Wish I had got a photo of it so I could show you before she took it in. Still hopefully she will be allwoed to bring it home again one day.0
