words from a wise woman aged 39 and 11months.......to those with little people ....it will get better! My dd2, 9 going on 19, was the most hard work of my 3 kids and we used to say if she had been our first she'd have been the only one.
I used to describe her as independent of mind and spirit..., she said jump, we said how high!
Life was just one big argument with a 2, 3,4, year old and then she was 5 and started school and the tantrums stopped and she is the most gorgeous ,kind, helpful girl now. Like a different child.
On the other hand i still have a grumpy son, a very untidy 12 year old and a husband who works away....16 more sleeps x
Enjoy your day, enjoy your children, they might drive you daft but they are so precious and you will look back and wonder where the time has gone.
Don't get me wrong mhagster, I love both of my children to bits, but both of them are so difficult at the minute, especially my daughter ... she is very headstrong, full of tantrums and if you dare to look at her she will give you looks that could kill ... whe we do have a good day though she is a little angel and so loving! her favourite word is no, if you try to give her dinner or juice and anything else she shouts no and either throws herself on the floor and sits bashing her head against the floor  or she will lash out at you no matter where she hits you, and for a littly she has a hell of a lot of strength! We do tell her off but it seems to go in one ear and out of the other! ... then there is my son ... never used to do any of the above, we never had terrible 2's, tantrum 3's or grusome 4's ... then he turned 5 .... started having contact with his real dad when his RD could be bothered ... I had attitude, I had him tell me he was going to kill me (yes 5 years old and going to kill me  lovely things his dad puts into his head) and whilst I was firm to tell him what was wrong and why he shouldn't say things like that eventually he would stop after about a week ... this time he has come back home and we are now 2 weeks after ... his attitude is worse than a teenagers, his temper is unreal and his answering back is awful ... since he has been back I feel like I am constantly telling him off for one of the above which really gets me down
Ok enough ranting and raving!
Morning to everyone, hope everyone is ok
Welcome to the new posters on our lovely thread, come on in, take a seat and join in with the chit chat ... don't be scared to join in, whilst the thread moves very fast and can be somewhat hard to get used to we are all lovely if slightly crazy
Hope everyone has a brilliant day .... Not sure what I plan to do today but I want to try and do something crafty!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
kids are such a pain :rotfl:. I have little miss attitude at the moment full of tears and sulks and whinges. If she was a bit older I would think it was hormones .
Admittedly things are a bit up the air here at the moment and I know it's difficult for her as OH and I seem to always be shouting at her. It would make life so much easier if she didn't have the memory of a goldfish about selected things. she's finally started getting ready for school and started brushing her hair without me behind her every 2 mins so the mornings aren't too bad now (it's only taken 2 years :rotfl:) but other stuff just drives me bonkers like not answering back, flouncing off and having the last word - have no idea where she gets that from
.
When it's just 2 of us doesn't matter if it's me or OH it's fine but when there's any more she turns into an attention seeking monster. And she's far better at steering a shopping trolley than I am.
I'm just trying to take it a day at a time at the moment - so long as she behaves at school I can cope - she kicked a teacher when she first started and the school wondered why I grounded herOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Morning Ladies
I'm quite happy this morning :j, won a few times on bingo last night so should be able to redeem another amazon voucher in the next few days. Two of my daily click sites have paid out, thats £30 waiting to show up in my bank, will be paying it off daughters camping trip along with £30 out of the extra £60 I got yesterday so will only leave £20 owing.
Finished knitting the waistcoat at last, just need to sew it up today and block it as the pattern of the stitches makes it look a bit skirwiff if you know what I mean. Have to look through my button tin and see if I got some buttons for it save buying new ones but cant get that till this afternoon when OH gets up (he's on nights).
I'm going to start on my sons jumper next as thats another biggy to get out of the way (he's 31). Have the wool and pattern so once Ive got this one sewn up and blocked I can make a start.
Want to get 13 yr old daughter some make up for her birthday but I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to make up. I bought her some nice bits from Boots for last years birthday and got a free bag with it but half the stuff out the bag she didnt like so was a bit of a waste really. The foundation I got her was nice but very expensive (well to me it was lol) about £12 for a small tube. This seems to be what she uses up the most so does anyone know what make to get for a 13 yr old that wont break the bank but wont be too cheap and nasty please? She has a very transparent skin (you can see the veins through it quite clearly) and she is prone to spots on her forhead but wont step out the door on a weekend without her make up on lol. I have never worn foundation myself, just the odd bit of eye shadow and mascara so am at a loss as to what to get. Want to make up a basket so need quite a few nice bits.
Anyway, I'll be around for a couple of hours, going to play some more bingo lol.0 -
hi rufus! sounds like you have been busy!
Is it bingoport that you are on? If so, which game do you play? I'm dying toget into it but got totally lost on the site!!
with regards to your DD, depends really on what she likes. What didn't she use/like out of her stash last year? The Natural Collection from Boots is all under £2 and some nice things in there.

Paddingtondoo - I think you summed it up in a simple word .... PAIN! lol if they are not being one, they are causing it ... :rotfl:
Shelley - Yay I was wondering how long til you came and joined usyou are as mad as the rest of us so will fit in well ...
O wise one Mhagster - you always sound so positive and chirpy
Jamtart - Morning*waves fanatically*
Rufusdog - Well done youcan't help with the make up I am afraid as I never wear the stuff

Jammy - the bits she didnt use were bronzing things, like balls in a pot and some cream that came with it, made her look like an umpalumpa lol. I havent seen that makeup in boots what you said, migth have to go into Chatham to the big boots as ours is only tiny.
Yes I am on Bingoports, on the left hand side it has a list and it includes free bingo. If you click on that it opens a new window and you can choose which room to go in, ths time of the morning Cinders is the normal 90 ball game, the other room Buttons is the 75 ball game. I always go in the 90 ball rooms and usually in Cinders but last night I went in one called nifty nineties to see what it was like. There were less than 40 people playing so probs why I won a few times lol. Not complaining.
If you go on their forum and post 10 times a day they give you 1000 points, I usually only play about half of these then save the other 500 towards my voucher. Hope that helps xx0
