I don't mind at all here's the full list for 6 9 year olds:
3 lots of fabric pens @ 99p from The Range
6 Asda smartprice t-shirts @ 75p
Pack of bangles Asda £1.47
2 packs hairbands Adsa @ £1.96
pack of 6 paper tablecloths Poundland
plates Poundland
Invites 39p Home Bargains
Lunch bags 78p Home Bargains
2 packs of sweets @ 39p
Pack each of bowls and cups @ £1.49
Food:
2 large value pizzas
bag of chips
Jelly, mini marshmallows and sugar strands
Home made flapjack in cake cases instead of birthday cake put 2 each in party bags
Display stand made from spare plates and bowls.
One of the mum's said that her daughter told her I make the best flapjack in the world - really chuffed with that as i can burn water :rotfl:.
Just watched Grand Designs - love the programme but always find myself thinking "and exactly how do you get a cobweb down from there" when you see the finished thingOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Just wanted to say quickly, that I have noticed how much this thread has grown in recent weeks (with number of posters) and that is ace! :j Yay loves u!
Unlike other threads, I do not want anyone to stop chatting (like I'd have a chance of doing that even if I wanted to! :rotfl:)...I just wanted to say I think peoples are finding it hard to respond to every comment, and so no-one should feel bad about forgetting anyone and no one should feel bad if their post isn't directly mentioned or referred to.
It also occasionally puts people off from posting as they think they have 5 pages of posts to respond to, when occasionally there have been sub-conversations between just a couple of posters which is lovely.
I think if any of you see any newbies on the thread (or indeed if you are lurking, hi:hello: hi come and join us!) then you all go out of your way to make them feel welcome anyway so there is no probs there either
I just wanted to post and say this to make you all feel happy and to say that this thread is to help other people, try and get organised (:rotfl:) and learn some fun stuff on the way. It shouldn't be stressful for anyone.
If we haven't seen you for 2 weeks just say hi and come in whenever you want to in the conversation, everyone knows how hard it is to not post a reply to everyone.
On that note I am ignoring you all starting from now! :rotfl:(only kidding!)

thanks jammy - I always read all the posts and then want to thank, send hugs, congratulate everyone but without taking pages of notes find it impossible
.
I unfortunately have a life which keeps me away at times but even if I'm not posting I do read.
I'll be a bit awol over the next few weeks as I normally work from home Tues - Thurs but have to go in to the office every day for the next 5 weeks - flaming council tax bills *ducks as things are thrown at her* and for some reason I can go on eBay and amazon and everything else I can think of from work but MSE is blocked as it's a "chat" site - really whoever would have guessed from this threadOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

:rotfl: I usually thank posts that I read and want to send love to (i.e. every post!!) and try and reply to the ones that i can help with/involved me and occasionally have time to do a mass reply

Congratulations on your wedding SugarSpun
Also read you're post on the thread with the little boy that lashed out, think you are right, if it was my kid i'd want him to have some help although do think some people have gone too far with the arguement lol
Welcome to the nut house pig_letpull up a comfy chair and prepare to be inspired??
, laugh, and get to know everyone. I have put my whole family history over the Thrifty threads so everyone knows me pretty well
Jammie- can you post the challenges as normal and also post them in the beginning pretty please with a cherry on top (with a cheesy grin):D You don't have to
Mel- THANK YOU!! Basically Drs and councillors(sp) and nutritionist want me to relive my eating disorder and tell them exactly what i told them years ago but more in depth as they think they have come up with a new eating disorder?!?!Effing idiots:rolleyes: And yeh dad's back on saturday in the spare room, so we have to put up with the manic depressive again, wouldn't mind but he's not even getting help:mad: I will get round to posting your parcel sweetie:rolleyes:double promise forever and ever ahmen
Orchid - Hmmn it looks good on paper but when it comes to doing it, i tend to take foreveri would be lost without a list. My life would go into meltdown if i haven't got a list as i would forget everything and then i would get ratty and become my dappy/dozey self
Paddington- LOVE Grand Designs too. I also think the same, like OMG how on earth would you keep that house clean!!! OR on an old one they had one side of their house completely glass, it always reminds me of a place where horrors are set. Oooh did you see the one with a tree trunk as the centre feature of a stair case(not explained properly but) when that came on it thought what if it suffers from rot and you have to get the tree surgens out to operate on a tree inside your house?!?!?!:rotfl:How mad? Although i have to admit it was very beautiful:D Some people on there are SO unbelievably unrealistic it's just beyond me. They think nothing will go wrong or ever happen to them and they are so shocked when it does and get angry when most of the time its their own fault:rotfl: :rotfl:
Anyway i am waffling about anything and everything what i came here to do was to edit my list. So here we go:

words from a wise woman aged 39 and 11months.......to those with little people ....it will get better! My dd2, 9 going on 19, was the most hard work of my 3 kids and we used to say if she had been our first she'd have been the only one.
I used to describe her as independent of mind and spirit..., she said jump, we said how high!
Life was just one big argument with a 2, 3,4, year old and then she was 5 and started school and the tantrums stopped and she is the most gorgeous ,kind, helpful girl now. Like a different child.
On the other hand i still have a grumpy son, a very untidy 12 year old and a husband who works away....16 more sleeps x
Enjoy your day, enjoy your children, they might drive you daft but they are so precious and you will look back and wonder where the time has gone.0
