Evening everyone
I can't reply to everyone or I'll have another 4 million pages to read by the time I've finished (can you tell I've been surrounded by 9 year old girls all day :rotfl:).
party went off fine - only 1 managed to cover themself with T-shirt paint :j. Don't think DD enjoyed it as much as she thought it's always the same when it's your party and the cat nearly had a fit with all those people in her space.
Funny you should mention birds - was early to pick up DD yesterday and there was a lovely fat robin sat on a branch about 2 feet away and when I turned round to point him out he'd gone - that was after the white feather frozen to my windscreen Monday morning it's still sat on my wiper even though I did 50 miles on the motorway - am I dreaming or is that supposed to be a sign of an angel visit?
On the subject of birds heard various thumpings this morning went upstairs and there was a starling flying round in my bedroom cat was having a fit - chased it round for 15 mins and managed to catch it in a towel and put him on the windowsill - used to be absolutely petrified of birds until we started keeping budgies and OH made me go in the aviary with them - he must have got in the roof and then fallen through the hole in our bedroom ceiling where the wires go through - OH'll be filling it in this weekend.
I've updated my blog as well.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Bikerchick - I'd agree with never say never OH and I both swore we would never get married again as we had such a carp time the first time but somehow (we still don't quite know how it happened) he asked me nearly 2 years ago and we got married last August.
So now I would say try everything twice you might have been wrong the first time :rotfl:.Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hello ladies!
Haven't read the thread in ages cause I've been off getting married and doing grown up stuff. We're off on our honeymoon tomorrow, too!
Anyway, all my Christmas and birthday shopping, with the exception of my husband, best friend and incipient infant, is done and packed away in my parents' loft. Hurrah! I'm not money neutral, but with the amount of hotels I'm getting Quidco for what with conference travel and honeymoon, I'm not far off!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Bikerchick, you go girl...I am 40 this year and don't feel any different from when I was 19! apart from a little wiser I guess...(I am also a big believer in fate and valentines day too ahhh)
Sugarspun Hope you have a fab honeymoon
Paddingtondoo - Bet your glad the party is over - but its a nice feeling to do stuff like that for the kids (I did a party for ds this year which was mental, swore never again but I bet next year I will be planning something!)
Jordan, I can't believe your to do list, I was tired just reading it :rotfl: I must get more organised and get listing stuff like that, but I think it would put me off if I saw exactly what I have to do  so I sort of just wing it quite a bit
MrsGibbs - good luck with your move, I havn't moved house in years so have not tips really, just lots of deep breaths I guess (bit like having a baby lol)
plm - hope you are getting sorted with the home stuff. I have loads of home stuff going on too right now (long boring story, but involves moving back down south, family business, jobs the lot) don't know if it will happen though as dh tends to stick his head in the sand and I need him to have some oomph about him about this for a change  )
Rusty, Took a look at your blog, looks great (hope you don't mind but I am now a 'follower' your dd is 2 I think you said in March, my twin girlies are 3 at the end of March  I can't believe how quickly the time is going by now...
Furrypig, I am a late starter too ,I am 40 this year and my eldest is only just 7 it always seems wierd when I meet up with old school friends (or read about them on facebook!!) and they have teenagers!! just doesn't seem right somehow (partly because I think I am still about 25!!)
Received my Ideal World order today with my mystery craft box, I am really impressed with it, it is great for a beginner with me with loads and loads of bits and pieces in...it also had a craft mat which I desperately needed....
Hope everyone is doing well tonight....

Congratulations sugarspun - I read about your cake on the weddings thread - how *insert phrase of choice here* of your venue.
Thanks for the blog comment rusty - yours is great we want more pics :j of your fabulous creations. The house is fine I bought throw away plates, bowls and cups so only had 3 baking trays and half a dozen spoons to wash - cat has been sniffing out flapjack crumbs so don't even need to hoover. The T-shirts aren't dry yet hopefully they will be by the morning so I can have my dining table back to craft on.
Just totted up final budget and was all done for £25 and I have 5 paper bags to make an album out of.

I got mine today as well - only had a quick flick through - am saving it for tomorrow when I've recovered :rotfl:. I'd never done a party at home before DD isn't really a party type child it was her not me that was telling people to put the lids back on the fabric paints - 9 going on 90 .
I'm the youngest out of our mum's group of school gate lurkers - most of them have older kids than mine though - I'm 41 and got a right shock to become step mum to a 19 year old - have been teasing OH that he might be a grandad before he's 40 (he was a very early starter) - I just get the look :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
