Always a silver lining;)The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Your attitude is fab mumofjusttwo - I know it's not going to be easy but you're going to be fine...more than fine infact! Massive hugs to you again.
House looking lovely. I've got a friend coming on Friday and won't have to do much to get the place nice! Yeahhhhhhhh! Big more of a s/s, sort some washed clothes and i'm done xx0 -

completely agree, your attitude is fab. It will of course be up and down all the time but at least now you know what future you're planning. My only bit of advice is don't slag him off to the kids - my mum always let us make our own decisions about our dad (they divorced when i was 8) and I respect her so much for that. Hugs.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Still poorley so no flyladying today. The house is shocking  tomorrow i will earn a star - hopefully:rolleyes:0

I completely agree about talking to the children about their dad He is, after all, still their father. I believe/hope that this may actually allow him to spend more quality time with them.
I hope that I am right as they are gorgeous. But I would say that. I am their mum.January Grocery 11/3740 -

I agree too. My parents split up when I was 27!! and my mum still tries to get me on her side and she was doing that when she was planning on moving out. It has not helped matters!! And well done on being so positive - you seem so strong that I'm sure you'll be fine even though there will be some tough times ahead. Hugs and prayers for you and the 'two'.
rosepink - yes I did have a great day and the stuff I found out was amazing. You'd think it was a film script rather than reality! And he looks so much like my brother in the photos - I don't know whether to smile or cry
As for flying - I have filed the info I got today, and moved the dry washing from radiators to ironing basket!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi0 -
Left work late... missed pilates... so have unloaded TD, unloaded WM, reloaded TD, eaten and caught up on the thread... it's been a busy day hasn't it
mojt - ((((hugs)))) and well done on seeing the silver lining in a very scary cloud. I can always send you my shirts to iron if you think you might miss themHopefully the number of peoplel on here who can give you advice will make the paperwork less scary for you.
Carol - my dad's a retired GP and always pointed out that he couldn't do anything from 200 miles away. However, it's probably worth ringing NHS direct who can help you assess the severity of the burn (after they've checked that you didn't do it deliberately as a suicide bit/munchausen syndrome cry for help!). If you've got some ice, use it to help keep the temperature down, and aloe vera is also a good idea if you have some (or a plant), but if it's larger than a couple of centimetres, go to a walk in centre or A&E and get it looked at. I used to work as a chef and have burn scars I'd rather be without.
boddy - well done for getting your meter readings in!
Flower - same goes for you... and now do you realise why I've been nagging you. You may well get a revised bill now, and your direct debit may be reduced too.
PLEASE PLEASE can you ALL try to read your meters and submit readings monthly? It will mean your bills are much more accurate and you can budget more easily. Underpaying is as bad (if not worse) than overpaying, as you then have a debt to deal with which will prevent you from being able to move to a new supplier (although why we want to keep customers who have debts is beyond me... I would have thought we'd want to cut our losses and get rid of them  ) until you have paid off the debt... and some debts are passed on to collection agencies too...
casleigh - well done. You've done fantastically
toots - don't overdo things, & good luck with the ebaying
Liberty - welcome back, and take it easy. If you're bored, you can think of things for Mudbath to do, as she's clearly well enough to do most of her flying tasks!
rosepink - well done on getting your star!
I did have more to say but have forgotten it, so hugs all round!
tooch - your DD is probably just trying to get a reaction. When I was upset I used to behave like this. I think I wanted my parents to feel how I felt, and always regretted it (but never admitted it) when I realised I'd succeeded in hurting them.
froddy - glad you had a lovely time
msgnomey - on this thread flying in pjs is practically compulsory  ... we're not like american flylady... there is NO WAY on this earth I'd put on lace up shoes if I wasn't going hiking, running or to the gym. Certainly not for flicking a feather duster round the living room0
