'you're not my mummy you are just someone who looks like her but who says no' !!!!!!!

They say it for effect as well i'm sure and because they are very angry but maybe feel quite powerless.

    Finally caught up!

I have done a lot of work but I'm not too sure if I've actually completed lists, I'll go check tomorrow.
I've also been doing some of the living room curtains. Yesterday I finished one pair of the shorter ones, except for hand hemming the bottom. Today I cut out the second short pair, and also the long ones for the patio doors. Nervewracking business, as the pattern repeat is 28inches, so it seemed like I was wasting a lot of material! I did wonder if I would run out and have half a curtain on one side of the patio! I'll do some more sewing tomorrow.

I've been feeling washed out the last two days, so haven't pushed myself too much. It is supposed to be my holiday too!

sexymouse - hope you feel better now?? Hugs. Email me, I will get back to you, promise!

pigpen - happy parcel arrived, and contents approved.:D

Thank you juliejim - DD is so very much better today. She has been able to eat for the last couple of days, and has not needed any painkillers today. I took advantage to make it quite clear that healthy living guidelines will be enforced from now on!!

mojt - I can't help with advice, but have a huge squashy hug. Do pm if you want a sympathetic shoulder, I listen well!

tooch - I was wondering if you have given stuff to freecycle or similar recently? Or named belongings eg school stuff, and that is where she got the idea? Maybe that's why she doesn't understand the punishment, as she doesn't think she's done anything wrong. The dramatics sound like they are from a friend or TV. Perhaps she finds change hard to handle, and is reacting to that? I'm just guessing here.

Must go do the washing up, and then collapse in front of the TV. Oh, one other thing I've done, is book cheap flights for the first week of the Easter holiday - we're going to Marseille!!!:D:cool::DJust need to find accommodation now. I was originally looking for May halfterm, but it was coming to far more than I was prepared to pay.

    Awww Hugs toochoosey !!!!!!!

If it makes you feel better my 7 old old little boy did the same thing to me the other day. He was kicking and screaming telling me he hated me, i was a bad mummy, he wished i was dead.

All because i'd have trouble getting him old of bed for school, the little horror would get back into bed everytime i went back down stairs. Eventually i told him that if he wasn't up and dressed by the time it was time to go then he was going to school "however he was dressed" and if that ment he went to school in Ben10 PJ's so be it.

Sure enough 8.15 came around he had got dressed but was still messing about and had no shoes on, i warned him 4 times to get them on and he kept messing me about in the end i kicked him out of the house without them. (while sneaking them into my bag of course)

Well they should of heard him as i DRAGGED him the the car shoeless ... kicking and screaming all the nieghbours must have thought i was killing him.

Eventually got him to school... still screaming that i was a evil mummy, he wished i'd drop down dead.. (plus some more colourful language that wont get though the fourm filter) which i was REALLY shocked at, because no-one swears in my house.

Finally got him to school, kicked him out of the car still shoeless... closed the door of the car and went to drive off... he was in buckets of tears still screaming at me. I wound down the window of the car threw his shoes and socks at him and told him that if HE EVER messed me about in the mornings again i was gonna really take him to school however he was dressed.

I know all this sounds very harsh... but it was the last straw, having had him mess me about every morning for as long as i can remeber.. i actually got a warning off work for being last so often last week.

He has forgiven me.. and hasn't mesed me about since, though granted he was only at school for 3 days after that last week haha, just tonight he gave me a big hug and told me i was the best mummy in the world.

Kids say alot of things they don't mean, keep your chin up and don't let it bother you too much.. she was just angry it will all be forgotten soon enough.

I'm sorry but:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

one of the mums up the school told me one day that her DD wouldn't get ready for school so put her in the car in just her underwear and drove to the school. her LO was so mortified that har little friend( a boy) was in the car behind that she never done it again!!

I will try and ignore what she says , my mum (in her 60's) said she needs a smack but I am trying to avoid that road, I grew up in fear of telling my mum anything but overwhelmed with guilt i I didn't.............different generation and all that

must apologise to pigpen for taking people off topic will shut up now before a fluffy mule comes flying my way:rolleyes:

    Hello all

Not sure I will manage to catch up with the thread so far this week as I've missed so much already! Hope all are ok and lots of flying has been going on and not too much chat ;) (I hate missing out!!)

Bit of a manic evening here. MiL asked me if I could go to a meeting tonight about girls brigade as i've offered to help with the younger ones sometimes as they really need some help! Not sure I was right to offer really as it will meaning leaving work at 4pm to get there and therefore going into work early, but anyway I offered so I will do it. I said I'd go to the meeting, started at 7. I got home at 6.35, DH had chopped the veg for stir fry and so quickly made that, ate and jumped on a bus at 6.55 (they knew i'd be late for the meeting). After 2 buses and a walk I got to the ladies house, only to be told the meeting was at the church which is opposite my flat!!! aarrrggghh! Was not happy, eventually got there at 8pm, meeting didn't last long and I stressed I'm only helping temporarily to get them through a bad patch!

So, after all that, only been in 15 mins and am too tired to fly really. Yet again there'll be a lot to do this weekend :(

    Star please! woohoo1.gif

Am still working on the other days. Can really see the difference in the place tho. It looks much better. I don't want to go back to work, just stay home and fly! Never thought I'd say that!

Froddington - sounds like you had a great day. How lovely to learn more about your grandfather. One of my greatgrandfathers had a very interesting life and I would love to learn more about him.

Crafty - sorry bout your arm, have HShugs11.gif and this is also for everyone else who wants one.

Casleigh - woohoo2.gif WTG! You are doing so great! hi5.gif

Carol - I would go and get your hand checked out. It sounds nasty. On first aid courses we are always told burns to face/hands need medical advice, and any burn larger than the palm of your hand and any burn that is deep. Hope you are soon on the mend. There are great dressings you can get - kinda like silver foil with gel - the gel rehydrates the burn. Really really good for burns.

Toochoosey - sorry about your daughter being a pain. Hope things get better. You are quite right to punish her for being naughty, make sure she knows you love her too tho! ;)

Soappie - I too love your front door!

FFPrincess - wow, Piper is sweeeeeet!

Mofj2 - Hope you are ok tonight. Guess its a bit awkward at your place tonight We are all here to do this: comforting.gif

I love this smilie, so gonna put it in for no particular reason! nobashing2.gif

Guess who found a new smilie website?

Okay I'm going to make DH some sandwiches for tomorrow and then I'm off to bed. Obviously I didn't make it to the pics - my mate wasn't feeling 100% so didn't want to go.
