Enjoy your night out!
It was with Nero, using the wizzard option and burning an Image!

Put Disk In, Close down anything they may start up.
Open Nero Burning ROM SE (if available via all programs nero) ISO Tab,
New, Now find file for burning under file browser once you have the file drag and drop to under file name then Burn.

Hi Guys,
I still can't get the damn thing (Memtest86) to work. Definately trying to burn it in ISO Image although I'm not 100% sure its actually burning anything onto the disc, It goes through the motions on the screen, very quickly, but the Burner doesn't even flicker (The light usually turns red when burning). I also have blindwrite on my PC, but can't see an ISO option.
However Hubby brought his PC downstairs and we connected it to the internet and ran PCPitstop on it! The results were interesting, it highlighted the Graphics card as running at 49% (compared to similar tested machines) It said the memory was fine! We made a few tweaks as suggested and got the Graphics card running at 52%. It also suggested that we weren't using the most up to date drivers, so we downloaded the drivers from NVidia. But when testing again, it still said we hadn't got the updated drivers? But I've checked in the System info and it says we have!
Anyway after the few tweaks, Hubby manage to play some of his games for far longer than before and even finished a game without it crashing. And then he decided to run a benchmark programme and it got quite a long way through and it crashed again. Its definately getting longer in between crashing!
I would be grateful for any further advice!
Thanks
Sarah

It's a small application so its burn time is minimal.
Pop the CD back in the drive and see if XP recognises it.Sarahjovi wrote:We are now getting (Less frequently). A PFN_LIST_CORRUPT Blue Screen and a BAD_POOL_HEADER.
Really important to get memtest working just to confirm you have no ram problems.
The latest NVidia driver is 81.98. There is a link to an archive on that page too. I'd normally download a few of the drivers and working my way up from the orginal version supplied with the graphics card till I got some stability. Then install the newer versions, assuming your have a driver conflict problem.0 -
Agggggghhhhhhhhhhh! The damn thing just won't work, no matter what I do! At least its now trying to read the disc before it boots to windows! I burn't umpteen dics in case I've done something wrong! I give up!

Er its meant to read the disk before Windows starts up, thats why they call it a boot disk, or am I missing something here

But I'm not getting a report or test results?

No the pc tries to boot from the disc and them goes into windows! I've read and re-read the instructions to make the boot disc, but it just doesn't want to work! I originally tried making the floppy disc version, but kept getting the read error, hence trying making a CD!
