Im starting to think that its a prerequisite of the No7 sales advisors to be as obstinate as possible.

I try to avoid the No7 counter at all costs, just sneak up, pick my things and trundle off elsewhere to pay, but just now the queue was enormous everywhere else so i used the No7 counter to buy the hand cream with the acm and perkie vouchers, she refused, only one voucher per item....i smiled and said "oh, i'll leave it then thanks", walked off, quick detour and paid at a perfume counter, that lady just said...ooooo bargain...well done! :D

There is one NO7 SA at a store I go to who has got to be the nicest Boots staff member ever! Really, she is so, so, so lovely! I have heaped praise on her in surveys and because she is so nice I end up spending more so Boots win. She offers to split transaction, tries vouchers etc but her top notch customer service means you still end up spending more but do it willingly! Apparently she is always mentioned in surveys by people and i am not surprised. Hope you find a lovely NO7 SA like her.

Haven't got round to reading whole of last day or two's thread but just wanted to say how nice and friendly the SAs seem to have become in my local store (just to balance all the 'dragon SA' stories). There are 1 or 2 new ones who are lovely and tell customers which vouchers to use, and things like "If you buy this seperately you'll get another voucher" etc.
Anyway, managed to use my 2 x "£5 off P&P" ACM vouchers on 2 x P&P handcreams for nothing !! It took some doing, and I had to buy a few essentials to get the perkys, but I ended up at the till with a little huddle of SAs gathered around me, them gasping at how wonderful it all was and how clever I was !!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but also :o:o:o .
Went for a coffee and my cheeks were literally this colour: :o, although more like this colour actually  (but with a happy face).
But thanks to all the lovely ladies and gent/s for your expert advice on here and helping me get them for nothing - you're fab !!

well said *Jelly tots*:T it's good to hear about the nice SAs too:) I had a really lovely one yesterday:A She put through 1 P&P voucher, 1 winkie and 1 perkie for me in the same transaction and I only paid just over £1 I didn't even disguise the glitch with other products (I did this 3 times too). She said "wow! you've just saved so much money. That's brilliant". What a sweetie:)

many, many thanks to the lovely bootsers who sent me P&P vouchers. I just love this thread. We have a fantastic, friendly and kind bunch of people posting on here:A

I suppose thinking about it, the No. 7 girls work to sales targets and are probably on commission. Maybe the vouchers reduce the actual 'cash' they take therefore making it harder for the girls to take thier daily or weekly targets.

But has been said many times before - if Boots don't want you to use the vouchers, why issue them at all?

snipped .......Managed to help two ladies in store with suggestions to use vouchers on and combinations from info on the forum and they were delighted in the end!

Dosen't it make you feel good when you can steer people in the right direction on what to spend their vouchers on,
I helped a young girl spend her wrinklie on a TD gradul tan moisturiser for .86p she was over the moon as
she didnt fancy any olay and was going to bin her voucher :)

... so then she told me my ACM card will get looked into, ( yes.. she was not a nice SA ) ...

Do you have a lot of points on your card? If you do, are you in Parenting Club and do you have a partner at the same address who is also in Parenting Club both claiming one or more of the same children? If so, I'd go out and spend all the points on anything immediately. People who thought they had squeaky-clean cards but had the situation I just mentioned had their ad cards canceled and points revoked when their cards were examined, with the excuse being that you can't claim the same child on more than one card (even though that fact isn't made clear enough when you join PC).

    Hi Everyone,

    Had a bad day!

Tried to buy the £10 hand cream, which we can get using the NO7 voucher + the perkie, but SA said no! then when I said it worked yesterday when I bought them ( I did not lie + say a friend did + it worked ) in a different shop, the SA took my name off acm card + rang the shop I went to yesterday, she spoke to NO7 SA who said it won't work, so then she told me my ACM card will get looked into, ( yes.. she was not a nice SA ) so I left the shop obviously very upset with what had happened + as there was only one till on, the queue was big, so I was even more humiliated by her + not to mention the bit about my card being looked into, i mean was I stealing? NO! I was using the vouchers that MR.B supplied to me with my name on + basically getting told my card was going to be investigated made it worse, even though it is squeaky clean + I have used no-one elses vouchers or done anything wrong.

I have came home + rang CS who then put me through to a manager, so as the computers are down will be ringing me back, when she sorts this out, cos even the manager said she was appalled by hearing about my bad day + that getting my acm card investigated was a bit too extreme, considering the NO7 lady + the till let me get them yesterday, it's not as if the till beeped cos it won't as the 2 vouchers are proper ones to work with that item.

    Angel x

So sorry to hear you have had a bad day, some SA need training on politeness and manners, I am hearing so many of us on here complaining about rude SA, CS should be informed about this, I hope they sort it out for you.
  • I know what you mean freecyclebilly, it really does make you feel good being able to help! I have been able to do this a few times of late, so putting all this learning from the forum to use. I used to be one of those who didn't use my vouchers etc...not anymore!

Decided against the trip into the Oracle for some more then!? They do look cute though - might use mine in the pamper hampers I'm planning for birthdays etc. Was thinking teachers presents end of term but maybe not now!

Yep, I ruled it out, lol. You may want to open one of your own and see what you think just in case I got a lone bady. But I wouldn't be surprised if most of the flannels are stained, as how long can you leave a colored bead designed to dissolve sitting on a cloth without that happening? I was going to leave these on the pillow when I have guests, but don't think it will do as who wants a white flannel that's got stains? I may use them myself and try to clean the stains off, and if nothing else they can become cleaning cloths.

Edit: But they would make a cute garnish in a pamper hamper all the same, lol, or atop a gift bag.

Oh yes also got an ACM voucher for £2 of No7 self tan stuff - don't know if it will work on any of the reduced stuff?

Hope this info is useful to someone:beer:
No, it won't I'm afraid. I tried the other day. The till beeped:rolleyes: however, since there are no t&cs on the voucher, you could argue that they should override the till. I was in my local store, unfortunately so I didn't want to cause a scene (I'm not too popular with some of the SAs in there) I might try in a different store if I find any reductions.

porlock, good luck with giving up the ciggies. Whenever you feel a craving coming on, just remember all those lovely bargains you can buy in Mr Bs with the money you are saving:D
