Hi I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the Dr Lowe products and what they think of them. I have a few vouchers to use and thought I may give them a go.
They sound impressive but I'm reluctant to spend so much on a product that might not be worth it - with or without a voucher.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
A few people have said the spot serum/cream whatever it is is quite good, and I'll be tempted to try that myself next time I need some (if there's an offer on, lol).0 -
I cant believe it!!
Since I joined the wonderful world of Bootsing I have been bigging it up to my friends and family - well anyone who would listen really. I had been unsuccessul in my recruiting of my friend at work until today when I brought in my lovely new No. 7 GWP I obtained on Saturday after buying some concealer and wipes and using my purkie leaving me with £13.XX to pay. Anyway after my friend saw my goodies I gave her a purkie and sent her on her way at lunch time to Braehead. Well how mortified am I - she came back to the office with the cry "I hate Boots".
The No.7 SA had advised her that she could not get a GWP as she hadnt spent enough even though her total spend before using her Purkie was £18.XX. The SA said that it was "company policy" that she couldnt get the gift until she spent £18 or over and that the voucher could not be used in conjunction with any other offers!!!So what exactly is it we have all been doing then?
Make your mind up ladies! The lovely lovely SA who helped me and my mum on Saturday at Silverburn told me that the gift is scanned first with your goods and you DO get it when you use a Purkie. I feel so bad for my friend now because it was my recommendation!
Cheers Mr B for making me look like a right donkey!Sorry way too much waffling but just wanted to share this unfortunate experience!

Was feeling a tad fed up wandering around as nothing much left to spend wrinklies on (they wouldn't let us spend them on reduced nivea at £3.50 even tho got about 30 left).
Then spotted SAs wandering around giving out perkies with their initials on & date. They are having a competition today. The SA who gets most perkies behind the till wins a prize. I asked if they had to be used today and they said no, although that was the point of the exercise, so I wandered around and got 4!!
Get yourselves up to Sheffield!:j0 -

Hi - I am using the Blemish gel and I think it is very good. It's seems to take the redness out of spots and dry them without drying the surrounding skin. I got one for my sister also and she thought it was good. I've stocked up on them!!!! I managed to get them free with the wrinkly as they were reduced in Bristol!!!!:T0 -
Thanks Angie and Skibster. I will have to look out for his stuff on special offer or reduced - hopefully soon. I have been using a 'cheap' Boots brand and it has done nothing good for my skin.
I was also tempted by the No7 Time Resisting stuff, but may wait til its 342, a better deal I think that GWP.0 -

This kind of thing is always happening to me, when I am on my own things tend to go quite smoothly, more often than not, but when I am explaining things to people awfull. 9 times out of 10 I get the old 'cant be used with this that the other, if your wearing black, standing up, sitting down etc'. Then I end up feeling a bit stupid, feel like Bootsing should be a solitary hobby really.0 -
Managed to use up all my hairys today on serum and the hairspray (thanks OP). Assistant siad she was wondering how to use hers up without spending anymore money - so will be grabbing some serum!
There was alot of reduced tights instore today, half price and then there's an ACM voucher for 50 points which goes through ok.
Also there was a mediterranean gift set which looked like is was heavily reduced but didn't have a sticker on or a reduced SEL - it was priced at £4.96 but I am sure they were around £15 previously.
Also saw a banner on the floor for a free gift with Sanctuary (which I guess must start tomorrow). It's the pack of 3 body butters which have been a gift before. No sign of any reduction on the £6** travel set:rolleyes:
Still have about 5 wrinklies left - but am resisting the temptation to use them just for the sake of it - not much left in the cheaper price range aound these parts:D
Oh yes also got an ACM voucher for £2 of No7 self tan stuff - don't know if it will work on any of the reduced stuff?
Hope this info is useful to someone:beer:0 -
Had fabby shop today - managed to get an olay gwp foc - yay :j
Spent £15 real money, saved over £35 and gained 1000 ish points - marvellous!!!!!
Sanctuary travel sets scanning at full price, no mens anti-fatigue sets - got one of the wrinkle ones checked but they are full price at £18.xx.
So now have lots of nappies, p&p lip care and hand cream, baby wipes, batteries and titchy tubes of jf serum (which I use and love anyway and is handy for handbags!!!
Thanks skibster for the info on the nc cupcakes, got three the other day and resisted getting any today which I was regretting but don't now!! Thought they may be handy to put away for small pressies but sound a bit too cheap.0 -
Afternoon all managed to get 3 HE conditioners in pink bottles for 79p :j and had an offer for a free hair cut........ran out in 2007 :rotfl:just my luck! Asked the sa when the current no7 GWP would end and she said the end of March or until stocks last, but, she said they have tons:jHTH x0
