  • I really really do appreciate everyones support on here, especially because most of you must think I am nuts hanging in there with all the crap OH puts me through.

I just see something in him that has the capabilities to be a truly wonderful man when he finally does grow up. When we're not arguing and he's not drinking we have the most phenomenal connection with each other and we have been so happy together, he can make me laugh even when I don't feel like it. It's just the last month since he started this new job that the real problems have begun, the long hours, the easy availability of alcohol, this blonde bimbo of a boss who wants his boots under her bed and will stop at nothing to achieve this.

He is trying to build up the reputation of the restaurant and training a new chef and promises that when all this is done that things will get easier, perhaps that is why I am hanging in there? I don't know, at the moment I am trying to have the patience of a saint but I have a very low patience threshold and it's causing me to lose my temper and say a lot of things I don't mean which isn't helping the situation one iota.

    Hello all,

Moggins I am in no position to offer advice, so I will just send more (((Hugs))) and hope you figure things out for the best

Taplady I was considering making that Tuscan bean soup, it looks nice, you will have to post an update on how it tastes!

Well, I am going home today so not much planned, just getting ready for the week at work

I am quite fed up atm, and am considering moving back in with my parents...it is the only way that I can possibly afford a house before my parents die. BUT I love Tavistock, and I feel that if I move back in with my parents, I will just lose all the independance/skills I have learnt in the past couple of years....

    Hi everybody,
have been registered on here for a couple of years but due to ongoing ill health have never really got around to posting.
Am trying to get myself sorted and recently started lurking here abouts, picked up some great tips.
    Thanks all

I've just had a bowl and it was really nice, I usually like thick, smooth soup but this was nice for a lumpy soup!

Afternoon everyone - how are you all today? Hope you've had a good weekend so far?

Had a quiet evening last night - made jambalaya (with a portion for the freezer too) and enjoyed that with some garlic bread and a glass of wine. Lunch today is out of the freezer, but as DH is away for my birthday on Tuesday we're going to have my birthday meal today - so it's chicken en croute from M&S along with mash and veg.

DH did the ironing when I was out with the dog and he's now watching the footie while I'm up here. We'll probably both watch the rugby this afternoon. Was happier with the way Scotland performed yesterday, a big improvement on the previous week and a shame we didn't win - the ref awarding the French a try from a forward pass didn't help the cause :(

Anyway, enjoy the rest of the day!

    Afternoon All!
Done 2 loads of washing, made a huge brekkie for us all. OH has gone home now, DS is at work, very quiet house!:rotfl:
DD rang and asked if she could have a bath after work. Their shower is leaking into the downstairs flat. the landlord sent a plumber up last week, but he obviously didn't fix it.

Seeing my GP this week to get hopefully an indefinate cert for work. Definately going down the medical retirement route now. personnel seem to think that's the way to go,so do I. Just hope I get enough to live on.:o

Found a dish in the freezer that my Dad made, don't know what it is, but DS and I will have fun finding out!:rotfl: Looks good anyway!

Got my friends' African Grey parro this week, he loves me, and I like him too, wakes up the house!

Hope you all have a good Sunday.
