    Morning All

I must totally agree SG I love the morning "me" time to read around or do what I like (not that DH would ever dare to/dream of stop me doing what I want:rotfl: :rotfl: ). He is still he in bed at it is 8.30 here. Looks like we have a cloudy day in forecast for today with the chance of the sun breaking through this afternoon, with highs of only 12, so much nearer yours today.

Yesterday's OS was a quick swish round with duster and dry mop in the living areas, we went out for a Chinese with our Dutch neighbours last night, they are really nice and we always have a laugh even if only over pronunciations and translations. Her opinion on VD was we have VD every day, we do not need to celebrate just one day per year:D , we agreed. Unfortunately something I had did not agree with my tummy overnight, and decided to depart:eek: , left no lasting ill feelings though, and I am fine again this morning.:j :j

Today I have some stewing steak to go in the slow cooker with some left over red wine, carrots & mushrooms, so will make some sort of beef bourguignon for tea. I know someone was going to make a cobbler topping for theirs in yesterday's thread, from ingredients from Aldi. I wonder if they managed to pick up the receipe for that which was in the Aldi leaflet a few weeks ago (I mentioned it at the time) as it added herbs to the cobbler mix, and was very tasty. We have to get round to some decorating here before long, maybe I should try to find a decorator who would like a cheap holiday;) (decorating is the one thing we hate). I must get on with a tapestry I am trying to do for a friends birthday at the beginning of April, and not 10% complete yet. I am more of a cross-stitcher than a tapestry-er and started off doing some in vertical lines, which has not gone evenly so have to take some of that out, which is more time consuming that actually doing it, I then read you should do it horizontally:o , more haste, less speed.

:grouphug: Sorry to hear about your SC lid MSD , I must be rather lucky for I had a very careful, clean, tidy DH, if anyone is going to make a mess or break something it will be me:rolleyes: and I am always in the dog house for being untidy:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: not that it has any effect, though I am loads better than I was. M I hope some works come in for DH soon, it is not easy anywhere I know. Smoky hope you are feeling better now, and the kids haven't acquired it. Hope VD was not too bad for you. Moggins hope things get better for you, only you can decide if the hassle is worth the thwarting. WS have you tried learning LB "No" yet. I don't mean nastily, but with lively little boys, being able to yell NO! and have them stop in their tracks when they are heading into danger is useful I know:eek: ! My childminder had two of similar age my DS and a Little Girl, she sat placidly and played, but if she was walking towards the oven door, "No!" meant nothing to her as she was so good normally, while my DS knew it well, and would stop and look, while she was alert enough to ensure nothing happened, she said it was far harder for her not understanding it. :grouphug:

Welcome newbies, lurkers alike. Enough of me doing a M!

    Take care - DG

Sunnygirl thanks for your good wishes. I'm just posting to say, I dunno if it's my hormones or what, but I just cried reading about your DD's BF and how you're looking after him. It's amazing but most people would wash their hands off it. You obviously have a lot of love for him and are caring for him like a mother. He will remember it for the rest of his life. Well done you! *wipes tear*

Thanks for that Mellika! I didn't mean to make anyone cry honest. The whole situation makes me want to cry tbh & I often do but I try to stay very upbeat for him. It helps, I suppose, being so busy as I keep ploughing through everything and keep my mind active. If I sat and thought about it too much the police would be arresting me from outside his 'parents' house

    Good morning everyone :hello:

Huge (((hugs))) to moggins You know where we are. :grouphug:

I can't believe that I'm up THIS early on a Sunday morning. Surely it's illegal? :D DH has got yet another IT exam on Tuesday, so he's revising before we go out later today.

We're going to a "point to point" today with some friends and we're all contributing some food to a picnic. DH and I bought a quiche at the Farmers' Market yesterday and I'm about to make some houmous. Yes, I know I should be making a quiche but they do want to survive!

The WM is on with bits that I'm selling through ebay. 3 out of 5 of my items have (low) bids on them and they're ending today. Low bids are better than no bids..... Fingers crossed that when I return this afternoon they've gone crazy and sold for thousands of pounds. :D Maybe not........ :rotfl:

Right, better get on. Take care everyone and have a good day.

Very overcast here today, but unless we decide to try out the sat nav again we won't be going anywhere. Also hubby will be glued to the rugby, so I shall be on here.
Hugs to Moggins, PP & Smokey

    Lunch - bacon sarnie
Tea - roast dinner, pork chops for hubby, lentil roast for me.
I hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester
