Moving on from the 'Bathing' thread - childrens PJ's

I change my bra every few days, my pants every day, don't like sleeping in pants but used to when I was little - not sure why? My DS does not have clean PJs every night, he sleeps in fleece sleepsuits at the moment and I have only got 2 so that would mean more washing than is possible in this house (v. small, limited drying space, no TD) If there was a nappy emergency I'd have to put him in cotton ones and give him an extra blanket.
I wear any old horrible old t shirts to bed, don't really care what I look/smell like in them, I'm going to wash in the morning anyway. I like to have nice clean pjs and nice clean sheets when I have a bath though (usually shower)
Slightly TMI question, but ladies who sleep without pants, do you not find you ... er ... dribble? Not talking about that time of the month, but other times. We have got black sheets so when they are on, v. obvious!I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -

and YES i iron everything in my house, pj's, pants, vests, tea towels and every item of clothing.
i may iron everything and people may say its a waste of time, but i work hard to buy nice clothes for me and my kids. and ironing keeps them nice . and for the mums who don't iron and say no one can tell the difference, total rubbish!!! i can tell and you can spot a child a mile away with non ironed clothes...... why spend money on good clothes not to take care of them?
A mile away!? Come on thats a little harsh on us non ironers!? And not quite true..?
I do take care of clothes, I just dont iron them;) Not sure if the high temp of the iron is good for the fabric or not? Probably depends..
Like I said before, if you iron everything, then great, I have no issue with that. I would not dare to suggest it was a waste of time or anything else. It depends on how much time you haveFor me, the results from ironing are not worth the hours and hours of spare time I would have to find (and dont have)for the barely noticable results.
Maybe its the number of kids that make the difference? With 4 there is no way i'm going there.
But its each to their own. Wouldn't the world be a boring place if we were all the same?0 -
Peops who have clean PJs every night - do you also only wear your daytime clothes once before washing? My word, the washing :eek:0

Can't say I've ever heard that one

Clearly not heard of thrush either - if you lower the temperature "down there" and let the air circulate the chance of getting thrush is lowered...noone in our family wears undies to bed for that reason, and why wash an extra 28 pairs of knickers every week (four in family).0 -
OK...the survey so far.:p
Kids seem to be washed about three times a week on average..
Bras an average of every second day
Knickers after around 16 hours of wear.
NEXT QUESTION....
How often do you change your bedlinen, sheets, pillowcases etc, and how often do you wash your duvet/quilt/blankets?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Well that's a 'depends' question if ever I saw it.
I'd like to say once a week no matter what, but in reality it's not. If the cold war is going on in our bedroom in the winter, then trust me...there is no sweating going on so our bed stays pristine. So it's probably more like once a fortnight but there has been occasion it's been longer. Am I very bad?:rotfl:
In the summer I change the bed frequently as our room is very hot and airless even with the windows open.
If there has been a thaw in the cold war at any point, the bed gets changed the next day. The thaw doesn't happen very often so it saves on washing.
As for the duvet, it gets washed as soon as I start to get any sense of smell about it (although I do air it every day). I tend to replace my pillows quite often although I've recently bought some that can be washed at 60 degrees so time will tell if they stand up to a good wash in the machine.Herman - MP for all!0 -

You change the bedlinen every time after you've had a wee roll around in the sack?
OMG, our bed is a 6ft bed, so the duvet is massive on it, I couldn't be changing the whole bed every time we'd been playing slappy bellies.:pMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

The sheet definitely and it depends how hot and sweaty we got for the duvet cover.
Sorry if that was tmi. :rotfl:

just throw the duvet off the bed it'll save on washing.:rotfl:
Wonder if Martin :money: knew people would go to these extremes to save on a bit of washing powder, and I wonder whether he ever thought we'd be thinking of MSE every waking hour?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Every woman has heard of thrush but it doesn't seem to affect everyone. I'm not in the free foof camp but I've never had thrush, one of my sister is in the FFC but suffers it regularly.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)
