Still not bad.
Personally can't see much upside with BB. I'll sell mine if they make 130

blimmin' heck. I haven't been watching the market today and so missed this. My LLoyds shares have taken a beating, though my RBS have only dropped a bit. I bought £1000 worth of Medicsight (http://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?SharePrice=mdst) yesterday at 9p a share (got 10,889 shares!). I'm currently £300 odd quid up today. Yay! Capitalism is great. Bring it on!!!

I have my nice, safe BP shares. Got 202 for a grand, not bad. Up on my capital and my yield is looking pretty damn good too. Why stress yourself out with bank shares?!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

Well done - I missed that one.
I got a few years-worth in the 6.2% one, 4 years from May 2008 - May 2012. Nice.0 -
Time to kill myself for buying some Lloyds/Barclays and RBS shares on Monday then!
Oh well, hopefully LONGER term (5+ years) they will EVENTUALLY pick up...

Government aren't pointing the finger at those nasty shortsellers any more now all these creepy crawlies are coming out of the woodwork.
Maybe shortsellers should be running the country - they seem to have more idea as to what's going on.0 -
If Lloyds really was one of the few solvent and sound banks before this crisis hit, they could probably have made a killing on the strength of their own business and cherrypicked the best parts of HBOS when the government nationalised them, leaving the taxpayer with the toxic rump.
Now looks like their own bank could well get completely nationalised and the shareholders wiped out.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -

I've bought in again at 65p, I'm reducing my average nicely. When the credit crunch ends and Banks start working again, there will only be four big ones left and I'll have bought shares in all of them at rock bottom prices.
Some people sit in fear of the sky falling in, putting their money in a shoe box and talking about hoarding food, other people see opportunities in turmoil and take advantage. I guess everyone needs to decide which type of person they are.
Bank shares might go down again over the short-term, but in 5 years time when all this is history, we'll be sitting on shares in one of Europe's largest banks.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)
