    Sounds painful Mrs T!

Morning all! Well, I had to laugh. DS went down the road dressed as The Grim Reaper this morning, complete with black muslin bit covering his face, so he could see out, but noone could see his face. The luggage kind of spoiled the look. In addition to the scythe he had rucksack full of books, large instrument case and sports bag. The milkman delivering across the road laughed. I hope he doesn't meet any elderly residents on the way.

Yesterday was a good OS use up meal. Had helping of lamb and boulangere potatoes from freezer (dh) portion of turkey pie (DS) and left over sliced turkey (me) plus a tub of mushy peas and one of red cabbage from the freezer as well. Wondering what to do tonight. Don't need to shop as there is plenty in, maybe pasta carbonara, or with tomato based sauce. Or pasta bake or pizza.

Dinner at MIL on Sunday. Need to plan the rest of the week now.

I have lots to do here still, housework and paperwork. want to do some sewing and crafts as well. Half term starts to day for DS. We might go to Mum's for a couple of days I think.

Mudgkin - Tell DH to go and see his HR Dept., for a letter, they usually oblige if valid reason.

Salopman - hope you have more success with 3 than some friends, they could not get a signal and the dongle was so slow it was worse than dial up. Double check while you are in your trail period.

Hi all, hope you are well

MSD - hope you hear from Tristan soon ((hug)) for you
R.mac - congratulations for you, DH and little annabel :)
Congatulations to Mrs N9eav too :)
purpleivy :rotfl: :rotfl: hope your DS has a good day!

All is quiet here - I'm still at work - my placement finishes in 3 weeks - and still job hunting, which is a little scary. I would love to go abroad, but OH, after agreeing initially - is being a little hesitant now. *sigh* Nothing is ever easy.

Have been not very OS recently because of being quite stressed, but I got my credit card bill this morning and that shocked me into reality.

I have 14 boxes of chocolates at home, thanks to nice friends and relatives, whcih is very sweet of them, but I have no idea what to do with them. made cupcakes yesterday in order to get rid of some of the cake sprinkles I have accumulated. Dinner tonight is steak, thanks to the M&S deal and the last of my Christmas gift card.

Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all.................((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need them.

I feel slightly better than I did yesterday, very bad day with OH and his dizzys plus he decided he had palpatations too..........afraid I lost it a bit when he started complaining...............

I too have FM had it for years undiagnosed until we came back here to live and our GP got me to the clinic.....I take amytriptylene at night to help me sleep....works most times but I do have the occasional bad night, touch wood I have been not too bad recently, but a flare up would not be very welcome just now......

We had heavy snow that settled last night but it has gone this morning along with most of the freezing slush that was making walking on the pavements so difficult.

I was very tired yesterday and slept until 8.50am this morning.....OH had just come through.......an hour after me.

I am undecided about going to a local shop to see about a cooker, they do not have it in stock and its £60 more but I do know he will price match with the internet.......maybe will venture out after lunch, the morning has almost gone!!!
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • Morning everyone - hope you are all well today?

Congratulations to RMac on Annabel Rose's safe arrival - blue lighted to the hospital can't have been much fun, but glad to hear they're both okay.

I made macaroni cheese for our tea last night before I made a quick dash out to a meeting, made enough for DH to take with him for lunch today. While I was out at the meeting he was a honey and did the housework :) So, I've got the bathmats out on the line, hopefully drying and there was a load of rugs to go out too.

Hoping to have a quiet weekend, doing some studying and watching the 6 Nations rugby matches.

    Have a good day everyone!
  • CONGRATULATIONS r.mac !!!!! :j  :j  :j  :j  :j

Well I viewed a house last night with OH and was very dissappointed. It was new build and looked lovely but innreality it was tiny! Meant to be 3 bedrooms but I can honestly say my flat is bigger than it was. Well at least we can cross it off our list now. OH going to see more places this afternoon, it is sooo exciting! Cannot wait to have a place of our own, we keep on planning and writing down ideas for the new place, so happy that things are going along well.

Cooking a roast joint of something tonight. Going to shops at lunch to pick up some meat but will see whats on offer first. Really been put off chicken since Hugh F-W's programme, hate to see distressed animals:mad:

OS today, clean flat and catch up on ironing. Cook muffins I think when roast is in.

Super 14 rugby starts tonight so OH and I will watch that with some Magners:D Then it's a weekend of hockey for us both.
Going to my sisters pub for a meal tomorrow night. It's really upmarket & pricey but as she is General Manager we get a hefty discount -Is that OS???:rotfl:

sunny in burgh today but secretly hoping for snow so don't have to go to St Andrews for hockey on Sunday..Brrrrrr!

HUGS to all you peeps, smile it's FRIDAY!!!!

Nessie, I haven't had mac cheee for ages, will have to get macaroni on the shopping list, it isn't the same with twists somehow. Have loads of onions and some chopped bacon in the freezer for a tasty topping.

    I really should get going!

  • Completely failed to get to mums and tots.

Little bear is very calm this morning. Yesterday I was going frantic trying to get him to nap and he finally went down for his afternoon nap around 5.30. Then he woke up crying...

I ought to get him out this morning, at least somewhere, but I am struggling a bit. Now, I can plead bad back (getting better), lots of sneezes, lots of toothache (still eleven days to dentist appt), and all sorts. But it would do him so much good to get out...

Also lots of things to do in house, but I probably wouldn't do them anyway. Also the paths are clear (at least for now).

One lot of soup in freezer, now I have a big pan of boiled chicken which got a little over cooked and when I tried to get the chicken out all the meat fell off the bone. So I shall box it up as chicken stew and store it in the freezer - and labels are for wimps, they imply that you are scared to defrost something that could be bacon or chicken based.

I made four banananana loaves, and dear heart only took one into work. Little bear is unimpressed. I don't like banananana and there isn't much room in the freezer. I wonder if next door would risk my cooking? Would it be bad for next door's dog/bear? I needed to use the bannananas up, and I know that dear heart's work really appreciate them, and I thought they could have taken some home for the weekend. They may have space in their freezers.

    Important stuff

R.mac - congratulations. Between you and bargainbird I am feeling so broody.
Mudgekin - your sister in law is so rude. I hope that she gets the message, but some people see free food before manners.

Hugs to all, especially those suffering.

I have to go, I can hear little bear being mischievous.
Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!

It would do you the world of good too. Forget the house and get yourself out there girl. Wrap up warm and go for a walk and have some fun with your little'un. I too would love another baby but I know how hard it is coping with the children I have so adding another into the nest wouldn't help me or them.

I wish I could join you in a winter walk but I'm not going anywhere today. :( I have a mountain of washing to do and no place to dry it. I've let it all slip and have to spend the day getting the place in some kind of order.

Congratulations to rmac on the birth of your baby. :T
