    Hi there,
Can anyone suggest any nice place near sea (and beaches) for 2 nights I am planning in May. What about Exeter, or Great Yarmouth. I live in London and dont want to drive too much. Something on the southcoast or southeast coast would be great.
    Many thanks

    What about Bournemouth? :)

Just go to the Travelodge home page you will see a big link for the £10 rooms on there but yes that's correct you can't book it that close to the date you want to go,sorry.

By the way don't assume if you can't find any from the tenner link that there isn't any as we have been looking for a while now for a lodge near to where my brother is getting married so we can all stay near there and not have to drive home that night after the reception. The lodge near to the place they are getting married didn't show anything up from the Tenner link but it did when doing a normal search:)

thanks, goslow, but this offer has already been posted so will merge these together.

It's helpful if you can search to see if an offer has already been posted before starting a new thread - the how to search guide is here
  • Thanks for that, have looked on the site and the dates I need accommodation for are not included in the £10 offer.

    Just my luck.

Did you search just through the £10 link or do a 'normal' search aswell?

Personally I would stay in the lodges around Ipswich/Stowmarket and visit the Suffolk Coast such as Orfordness, Aldburgh or up to Southwold for a pint of Adnams. (I live just south of Great Yarmouth and try to get away as often as possible! :D )

I sort of agree with Dennis, but will add that Acle has a Travelodge. From Acle (10 miles west of Yarmouth), you can go to the Norfolk Broads, Norwich, Lowestoft, Southwold, Caister, Hemsby and (God forbid) Yarmouth. Personally, I wouldn't bother with Yarmouth itself. The Acle Travelodge is closer to Southwold that the Ipswich ones.

I live just south of Yarmouth too - further than Dennis, mind...over the Suffolk boarder, in Lowestoft. :D

Can you suggest which travelodge in Exeter is best for a mini holiday, would love to go to Devon for a weekend but don't know the area at all...thanks

Please see this attached link, we stopped just before Christmas 2005, it has Harry Ramsden incorporated in this Travelodge, it’s away from services, not much noise from nearby M5, highly recommended, and Exeter is well worth a shopping trip.
