i thinks its good to have a good old healthy argument, but when you have people with multiple ids, posting similar things it becomes tireseome.

Come the day i need to have more than 1 id has i can not take the embaressment, i will not come on the forum and post again.

The people who have multiple ids can see they are losing a discussion, and then decide to create someone, who will back the argument up, its funny, but from from that persons personal point of view they have lost the argument already has they have had to resort to being more than one person.

I personally couldnt do it, but if you need the support from your invisible friends, then fill your boots.:rotfl:

No, I disagree, some of them are masters of the Alter ego, the best by a country mile is DD :T

Again, sorry mate but I agree with everything confused31 has just said. I think it's totally pathetic to create alter ego's to either back yourself up in an argument or to 'troll' the forum.

As you can see from the controversy attached to my DD username this week, I'm not shy of posting whatever I feel necessary on a single ID. I just wish others were the same.

If you need to 'back yourself' up in an argument then you've already lost it. Using an alter-ego to troll the forum is tantamount to the weedy guy at the periphery of a gang, shouting abuse but being the first to run when there's trouble.

I wish MSE could do something about it, because I think it ruins the debate. What's the point of having a group discussion between 5 MSE members when there are only two people involved?

it happens and will happen again, mostly done by the frequent posters and thread starters. some even claim that they have a high Thanks ratio - so what!?!? if you judge yourself by your Thanks ratio on MSE you have a serious issue with your life.

    some people have no shame.

Dyslexia for me as the standard effects off wrong way b,d,p,g,q,w,m,n' etc., putting letters in the rwong orderJ
Also an inability to spot such mistakes easily.
Using a spell check for the last 18 years as been invaluable (I would of never passed English without an electric typewriter) also I have general words I never remember to spell correctly Eg Realy, recived etc etc and I can not spot them without a spell checker.

Yes unfortunately due to the associated poor hand writing also I have no doubt my punctuation as a lot to be desired (teachers found reading my work hard never mind anything else:))

Also I suffer from thinking to fast so I may start typing what I thought but it may suddenly slip in to what I am actually thinking (if that makes sense)

    Plus sides are
I have a virtually photographic memory so can remember things for a long time to the finest detail. ( I still retain memorys from the age of 2)
I am very quick thinker and can work out things and make decisions very quickly.
I am very perceptive (so the paranoid bits make me laugh) and an excellent judge of character (To a point is scares my wife as I will be able to tell her what people are like and whether they are trust worthy after only speaking to them briefly)

So there you go I can imagine how frustrating some of my posts are to understand but rudeness by people is not the way to solve them.

And the great news for me the problem (It is not a disability or anything) as only made other parts of my brain sharper than the average persons.

As for dragging stuff up cross threads it is a habit I have picked up from other unfortunately but I am sure you are more there a lot of people on the "bear" side do exactly the thing you dislike.

I hope that clears things for you.

PS Spell checked for you by word;)

That is a very interesting post and hopefully will explain thing more fully for those who find dyslexia hard to believe, or on the other hand, who believe those with dyslexia are somehow educationally subnormal.

By the way, I have a form of dyslexia too and have the same developed almost photographic memory...I thought it was just me and my weirdness! :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Cheers Sue, it's funny people think people with dyslexia are educationaly subnormal. I can always remember the teachers thinking I was "lazy" student but come exam time I would fly through them.
I remember a mutiple choice science mock exam. It was a 2 hour mutiple choice.
Because of my memory I finished 30 mins and and the teachers thought I had given up meaning I was sitting for 1.5 hours doing nothing.
My science teacher was suprised a week later when I had the highest mark in the School.:D
I don't know why people think dyslexic's are educationaly subnormal. Why would you not want to make it better if it was somthing you could do by working harder.
I have worked hard but have now accepted I will never beat it.
