Dyslexia for me as the standard effects off wrong way b,d,p,g,q,w,m,n' etc., putting letters in the rwong orderJ
Also an inability to spot such mistakes easily.
Using a spell check for the last 18 years as been invaluable (I would of never passed English without an electric typewriter) also I have general words I never remember to spell correctly Eg Realy, recived etc etc and I can not spot them without a spell checker.
Yes unfortunately due to the associated poor hand writing also I have no doubt my punctuation as a lot to be desired (teachers found reading my work hard never mind anything else:))
Also I suffer from thinking to fast so I may start typing what I thought but it may suddenly slip in to what I am actually thinking (if that makes sense)
Plus sides are
I have a virtually photographic memory so can remember things for a long time to the finest detail. ( I still retain memorys from the age of 2)
I am very quick thinker and can work out things and make decisions very quickly.
I am very perceptive (so the paranoid bits make me laugh) and an excellent judge of character (To a point is scares my wife as I will be able to tell her what people are like and whether they are trust worthy after only speaking to them briefly)
So there you go I can imagine how frustrating some of my posts are to understand but rudeness by people is not the way to solve them.
And the great news for me the problem (It is not a disability or anything) as only made other parts of my brain sharper than the average persons.
As for dragging stuff up cross threads it is a habit I have picked up from other unfortunately but I am sure you are more there a lot of people on the "bear" side do exactly the thing you dislike.
I hope that clears things for you.
PS Spell checked for you by word;)0 -
DD: Yes, lets just keep the discussion on economy/house prices and not make things too personal.
I have less time to post these days, but do try read the posts here, so it is good to use this forum as a place to 'get clued up' on how things are going etc. So keep up the good reporting/discussion guys.... and as with all discussions it wouldnt be a discussion without both sides.
Top man.
I seem to have periods where I post a lot (like this week) and periods where I just pop in to check on subscribed threads (i.e. threads where I have posted on in the past and new people add comments). I totally missed all the NDG stuff until the 'Where's NDG thread appeared' - I sometimes wish I'd totally missed the 'where's NDG' thread too

LesQuick was to do with something else....his posts are now all deleted and he's gone now.And I have my reasons to think that the said person also posted as lesquick or something!
StevieJ mentioned a 'sock puppet' who had a BTL problem in Brighton. It wasn't a fake post, it was genuine as I met her a couple of times in Real Life.
I've met quite a few people from this board in the flesh.....sometimes I think some of us forget we are all real people.
Going to butt out of the friendly chat thread now...enjoy.;)0 -
Totally disagree,
im not gonna trawl through the thread, but the ratio of your thanks to my post thanks shows a 1:8 ratiio..... All i need to say really
Anyone who works in a Human Resources position, with such power as yourself should not be displaying any characteristics of bullying, abuse or discrimation. The certain HR officer i mentioned made quite a severe attack in my eyes on another individual...
Something along the lines of:
I have my opinion and I dont know you personally but that one post made me respond here... it was quite a nasty comment imo.
Trying to be clever and saying "XYZ is bullying therefore they must be in a abusive relationship because I see it all the time" is totally Bull!. Honestly who you think you are to even think you can justify incinuating someone is abusive... surely posting such a comment is displaying characteristics of a arrogant bully.
Again glad Im not under that HR officer... as alot of peoples lives would be hell lol.
All in all we are on an internet forum, we all have our seperate lives, some of us go away for weeks at a time as we have more important things to do, some of us post more often... either way lets keep the comments based on our postings and not real life...
And yes im sure i;ve been guilty too of nasty posts but seeing it on the other foot its surely got to stop.
the way you teated this lady was bang out of order

There seems to be non stop abuse to people with anything other than a negative view.
Yes we have some loons in what some would decribe as "bulls" but by inlarge we ignore them.
But it seems now that there are bears that just want to run people of the board with user accounts that have never been used for ages suddenly giving people hassle!
This week I have at least 4 posters hurling personal insults (even about my problem) and just trolling through old threads to cause arguments.
I am in two minds to leave the board or actualy be a foul mouth pig of a human being like most bears put up with on here.
a whole 4 people? WOWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
:rolleyes:0 -
i thinks its good to have a good old healthy argument, but when you have people with multiple ids, posting similar things it becomes tireseome.
Come the day i need to have more than 1 id has i can not take the embaressment, i will not come on the forum and post again.
The people who have multiple ids can see they are losing a discussion, and then decide to create someone, who will back the argument up, its funny, but from from that persons personal point of view they have lost the argument already has they have had to resort to being more than one person.
I personally couldnt do it, but if you need the support from your invisible friends, then fill your boots.:rotfl:I am not a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as not being a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
