Why have some of the bears got sore heads.

I used to get a ton of abuse for daring to suggest that house prices were a little high.
Then when prices started falling I was right.
Now I get a ton of abuse for being an ex-banker. Admittedly not as much as I did for venturing into the dark and murky world of asset price prediction.
Funny really, when you're being blamed for ruining the world's economy and the destitution of millions people are nicer to you than if you suggest that at some point in the future their house could be worth a little less than it is now.0 -
well said:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:Twookster, you're a man that has only been here for a few weeks and is throwing abuse at anyone who disagrees with your view.
how did you get to hate people in a couple of weeks...why do you have to hide behind someone else's user id?
i suggest that you switch off your pc and go and meet people in the street.
it's a better way to form relationships- whoops!! sealed pot opened!!! for holiday stuff, £360, an i BLEW it:D

I hope you don't leave Really2, I don't condone any abuse on here and I don't think it should happen, although I do understand frustration has crept in as PN has said, the bears have probably had it the neck for a few years.
Most of the 'bulls' on here do actually back up their arguments most of time, and I would like those people to stay, otherwise it just becomes a 'circle jerk' if everyone has the same opinion, also you're likely to learn less. For instance !!!!!!? and dopester have opposing views on certain topics, regardless of whose right, if one of them left, the board would be a poorer and less knowledgeable place.
The same goes for the bulls, there are a few troll posters on both sides, however I feel they can easily be ignored if we have a core of decent posters.0 -

I think personal abuse for any stance is wrong. I admit some times I have bitten before and lashed out, but I admit I was also wrong to do so.0 -

Cheers,
sorry to PN. that response was not ment to sound frustrated I was not actualy a part of that site when that was going on (I have been here from about August 08 in reallity)
So sorry if I did sound frustrated. I just don't like the two wrongs make a right idea as it is not something I do.
Like dopester, our views are compleatly different but we don't go on a personal belittling program either (Well I did once as I miss understood him) he if it was a "Bear V Bull" thing, he should be giving me loads.;)0 -

Yeh it's all your fault Gen, the least you could have done is sat and taken a grilling in front of the MP select commitee, you haven't even said sorry, you just upped and went sailing around Sydney harbour.:D0 -
There are some crazy bears on this board who's only aim is to talk the market down and turn every news story to have a negative slant. This must be difficult for you (Really2) as someone who likes this forum and would prefer it if decent discussion take place here rather than mindless negativism. I have developed an ability to scan over the posts from the mad bears and only read the constructive posts from the reasonable bears.
Just put the maddies on ignore?
Why is wanting the price of homes to fall considered a negative thing. For many it is very good news.0 -
to be honest mate i've seen some nasty comments from both sides of the wall, so to speak.
A thread a few days a go involved someone supposedly who works for HR... yet is making assumptions about a persons personal life, accusing them of having a poor background, or abusive relationship... calling them the bully.
Im glad they aint my HR officer thats all i'd say cause their behaviour was just like the 'bullies' he was trying to say the other person was... you have a HR who is bullying on an internet forum , what does he treat 'lesser' mortals like factory floor workers like?
I felt sure that what the HR guy actually said was that he was really tired of certain posters using MSE as a 'stress relief toy', picking fights and bullying other forum users. He went on to say that as he worked in HR, he sees bullying in the workplace all the time and that it was usually a symptom of problems at home. For example, someone is bullied at home and to try to get back a feeling of empowerment, they turn into a bully at work, taking out their frustrations on their work colleagues. The HR guy went onto suggest that perhaps this was the issue that caused some of the posters in here to start arguments and cause problems but that it was just as unacceptable in MSE as it is in the workplace.
The way you tell it is far more dramatic and really paints that HR bloke in a bad light. He sounds like a right rotter!
