I was just wondering who had used them before?

My son is 11 with slight learning difficulties.. would it be ok for him. He would love the activities, i know that.

Im a little worried about him being all alone by himself a long way from home.

    Any advice would be welcome

I can seem to find any other forums where its discussed

Best bet is to apply now and fill in the form about any requirements - places go really fast - My son just got his place on the right date and place - Woohoo!

They then ring you up about any specific requirements or concerns you may have before they confirm the place - My son has Dyspraxia but he's been on one a couple of years ago so I know he can cope and it actually helps with his developmental needs and spatial awareness - they rang me up the week before I got the letter to see whether he needed any assistance.

He's doing the watersports one this year and wants me to find a PADI course for him somewhere next year - sigh

Just thought I'd bump this because when I was looking on the site, there still seems to be places available at some of the camps on some of the weeks. It just says '£49 places are limited at all camps', so there's some there somewhere!:)

I got a letter confirming her place and it said it also forms my receipt, but it said I'd receive further information 2 weeks before the camp starts. The back of the letter had a 'provisional list of items' for the child to take which is basically just normal things like various items of clothing, medication, toiletries etc (also says no aerosols are allowed).

So it may be normal and you'll receive the information 2 weeks before the start of camp, but it might be worth asking them to send you the confirmation/receipt letter.

    Hi all

A quik upd8 4 u ... places on the £99 summer camp scheme are selling out fast.

Daughter is off at the beginning of August and is getting v. excited.

For a bargain break from the kids I recommend these great camps, they'll have fun and you'll have a rest, or at least some peace and quiet.
