Thank you so much for posting this, I have sent link to my sis who's kids would absolutely love it! Unfortunately mine are too young!
Thanks again :-)In 2010 I intend to lose 36.5lbs and gain 365 £s
:A :money:
Progress so far: 0 lbs 0 £

Perhaps so those kids will have a chance to participate?
I see it as a good gesture for the kids who live with parents that are not wealthy.
What about the families who work hard, don't qualify for WTC and aren't wealthy shouldn't we have a good will gesture for not claiming benefits? If people think that those that don't qualify for WTC and all the other benefits are wealthy then that's insulting and ignorant.
rant over.Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0 -
Also please note the concession price only applies if you live in England (Wales & Scotland are excluded):A:A:A:A:A:A0

Back again,
Last year I paid the Child Tax credit amount, most people should be eligible for this unless you earn loads...over £50,000ish I think.
I know I keep saying it but my daughter had a really good time, made loads of new friends, and if you compare these prices to other summer camps they are still bargain prices.
I could not afford to pay £299 for my daughter, having said that compared to some other Summer camps that is still not a bad price, with everything included, even trips when a particular camp goes on one.
Hope you all manage to get your children on them, they do get booked up quite quickly!0 -
Sent our form off today- fingers crossed. Thanks op
In edit- does anyone know how long (ish) they usually take to let you know? And do they usually call or write?Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -
mine went in post either sat or sun, i think it was tues when they called me to say the camps i wanted were booked but suggested a couple of others that were available so i opted for one of them
HTHWhen you know better you do better0 -
will be looking at this with my daughter tonight, and doiung the application, for £150 it is brilliant, including everything. when you figure in how much i would pay for childcare at that time, for the week, it is not that much more for her to have a great time.0

Are there no similar deals for kids living in Scotland?0
-
well we work and we cant afford to send our boy - bit unfair if you ask me should be the same price for everybody!!!!
no kids should get special treatment just because their parents dont work
I am a widowed single parent, one of my children is also disabled, and so i claim benefits. Without offers like this children like mine would never have a chance of doing anything like this, infact as yet mine never have been lucky enough to get a place as they only offer a very few reduced priced places. Maybe u should try not to stereo type people and judge so quickly, if u had ur income assessed then they would take into account any benefits u are intitled to and if needed any supplements they could offer.0 -
They've added a camp for 17-19 year olds too -Future Leader
NEW FOR 2009 exclusively for 17-19 year olds.
If you fancy yourself a DI4R Team Leader next year, this is a great way to start building the skills you need.0
