'Afternoon everyone!
Good luck for the job interview to Mrs N9eav.
Agree with the others - 'Well Done' to Mr Hester - any work is better than none, and it's better for the self-esteem to be doing something.
Patentgirl - congrats on your job news, at least a respite from the stress for now.
Moggins - I use the temp hair colour from Superdrug - you get several applications in a tube and it cost about £1 (or on BOGOF even better!). I only use it every couple of washes, to tone down the grey, but it seems to work and keeps my natural colour bright like it used to be when I was younger!
No OS achieved at all yesterday - just lots of rushing around after w*rk and then a few beers with some mates over the footie. Support group mtg was good though - I'm really pleased that DH seems more able to talk about his feelings re the M/C & fertility stuff - it really helps to have other people's DH's & DP's for him to relate to.
House still a mess, but just found out that my best mate & family not now coming for the w/e as she is not well, so I'm sad not to see her & my DGS, but at least the pressure to get all tidy & sorted is off and now I have a whole day 'free' on Sat to get stuff done (or maybe to skive off and go out somewhere - just me & DH - that sounds like a good plan!). Most of our mates are off skiing today/tomorrow for the week. Although I didn't get on well with skiing when I tried it last year, I am a little jealous of them all going off and having a fun holiday and have felt a bit left out of their planning (of course, when they sorted it, we thought I'd be PG now so we decided not to join them - ah well....).
On tenterhooks at the moment as got a follow-up appt with our fertility consultant this afternoon. Not sure what she is going to tell us, but the clinic made us an appt with the counsellor for straight afterwards, so I have a nasty feeling it may be bad news, but maybe I am just worrying too much. I know that things have not really settled down since the M/C so my emotions are still 'at sixes & sevens' as my dear old Grandma would have said, and I probably worry too much......
Have a good day everyone!

So far I have put a large chicken in pot with load of veggies, put up a load of mushrooms in freezer, cuddled little bear, rearranged the freezer, leftover stew from last night fills two tubs, so two meals and that is now in freezer.
Want to make banana bread and do chickpea and potato soup.
Little bear has got the handle off his bedroom door. I have no idea how he has done it but there appears to be a screw missing, which I can't find. I do hope he hasn't eaten it
Also, I have no idea how to mend it. For safety I think I have to take the whole handle off until I can work out what to do as there is a nasty spike now at little bear's eye level.
Current thinking favours a piece of string looped through the hole where the handle should be and round the outside of the door until dear heart can purchase another at the weekend.

Afternoon all! Been awol for a couple of days as the black dog has been visiting but seem to be back on the way up now. Got rejected for a job last week and comuting for 4 hours every day because of the snow is not good for the mental health - far too much brooding time! On the plus side the house is tidyish, the beetroot and choco brownie recipe I tried was yummy and I've got another interview in 2 weeks.
Well done Mr Hester on the job and grrrrr to his family! Families and judging is a sore topic with me at the mo!
Nice to see you back Sybil, hope you and LB enjoy the storytime (wish I could come with you!!)
Off into the village today to try to pick up a tea set from the charity shop for our Valentines tea, got some half price pink bubbly from co-op. As I've not been working for a bit it is nice to be able to spoil OH but in a OS way as he has really been a rock and I know he finds it hard when I am ill.
Hugs to all that needs em (((()))))!!Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0 -
Hello Everyone
I hope you are all well and ((hugs)) to those that need one.
I have not been posting for a while as the battery died on the lap top and we had to pay £53 for a new one!!!
Not much OS going on today. Lots of work and a bit of vaccuming and bread making. I am supposed to be going to the gym this evening with my friend but we have got quite a bit of snow so I might not be going. We have escaped the worst of it and I am hoping it will melt.
I used to be a member at the gym but changed jobs and couldnt ever get there so cancelled it. Now I work from home most days and finish work earlier I can use it again. I really missed it when I couldnt go (how sad am I?)
They did me a really good deal to get me to rejoin and as I am now training for Edinburgh marathon I need to make sure I use it!
Not sure what we are having for tea. There is not much left in the freezer and I don't want to stock up until the end of the month when it is really empty and I can fill it with lots of lovely home made meals. I think I will defrost a veg hotpot and put some crispy pots on top with green beans.
Take care

Meanmarie that picture but no sound comment completely cracked me up
I have been giggling ever since.
Wannabe Sybil, it's lovely to see you posting again.
I have had the loveliest day out in a long time. If a certain person comes on here later complaining that I made her spend money, it is not true!! We didn't buy anything we didn't need and I got a lovely pair of boots in Priceless for £10
So today I made a new friend who is a 'Tru'ly wonderfuly person, who really made me feel that life is good after all0 -
If you ever the chance to meet Moggins then you should, she’s lovely. Just be careful, she makes you buy books and maltesers :rotfl:
I need to borrow her OH, apparently he makes fab low-fat meals, I need that at the mo
And her hair looks OK to meBulletproof0 -

Afternoon all.
Moggins thanks for the heads-up (no pun intended) on the 94p hair dyes. I might’ve been tempted, while I still have some hair left to dye.
Mudgekin I applaud you for not telling your SIL where to go. I absolutely refuse to let people just drop in like that (to be fair, anyone who knows me well enough to “drop in” knows I’m not well enough to cope with surprise visits).
Sybil nice to see you!:hello:
KarrieBee I hope you can kick the Black Dog into touch – it’s not nice when it comes sniffing round, I know only too well.
Mr LW only just got to w*rk on time this morning – they’ve closed off the route he usually takes, with no warning whatsoever; not due to weather conditions, they’re doing some roadworks, presumably to do with a new housing estate that’s going up. So he had to turn round and go back, and divert via one of the villages. :mad:We shall be getting Autoroute out tonight to see if there’s a better route for him. I’m soooo glad I chucked him out of the house early this morning!
I had a mad fit and got on with some cross stitch yesterday, have finished the light switch surround for the lounge, and started the one for the bedroom, so will try for a bit more of that in a bit.
Not sure what to do for dins tonight, but nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice is looking increasingly likely.
((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
So, anyone want to come round and help me clean out 4 hutches? No? Thought not
I'm going to watch last night's Numbers while eating a toastie (and some maltesers) then sort out the animals and bung some towels in the washing machine. Then sweep the floor, if I have any energy leftYou so do not need to lose weight, you fibber!!Bulletproof0
