hugs to Jackie and all who need one xx0 -
Im so depressed this morninganother day of snow its being snowing here
for 3 hours asfar as i know had to say how much as its piled itself on top of
the many inches of the past fortnight that is it lying here. this will be my 3rd
day off things don't clear up cars are going of the road according to local radio
but they haven't tuned into winter control this morning because the snow just
started around 7 . I phoned first client and she was depressed as soon as she
saw the snow because she would have liked me there see lives 50miles away on
in East Lothian she had been on computer looking for the weather in my area put
in Soutra and got Karma Soutra he he (not as depressed as me though she keeps
her despression and money I don't get a penny) Oh no there are now closing schools it becomes uneconomical to start work too late in the day because us
need too reduced work time for clients and taking travel into account it out ways
the risks of travelling in dodgy weather so need to get on the phone and rearrange
were possible
On the plus side i can lerk around the boards today
As if they must have heard me Winter Control is now broadcasting!0 -
I have had a Lakeland delivery. I have little bear exploring it in the other room and I can hear stacking.
I bought a large quantity of lock n lock boxes, as requested by dear heart, so today is also earmarked for...
Chicken soup plus pulling meat off bones plus packing all that away in fridge and soup in freezer
Also lots of potato and chick pea soup to freeze for dear heart to take to work.
Also NEED to use up some bananas, so banana bread for dear heart's work.
Also need to clear out fridge and freezer to find space for all this.
So a kitchen day. This is very Old Style.
I shall feel so virtuous after this then mother and tots will be no problem.
Hugs to all.
And also thank you for the good wishes. I do feel a drama queen, but I have been feeling a little fragile. Thank you for the hugs.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
No snow here but a hard frost. I'm still getting over jet lag, did ds's sandwiches last night so that I didn't have to get up this morning - blimey, there's a boat on the canal at the back of the house!- so have had a leisurely time so far. MIL has called and invited me to go for coffee, so will be off in a bit, should have some brekkie first.
Lots going on today, still catching up with the back log of things from when I was away, in addition to the things that still needed doing before I went. Not stressing about it though.
Went to talk/show video to dd's guides last night and deliver them some presents to them.
breakfast will be hm yoghurt, banana and nutmeg, need to yog some more milk, BM and WM need to go on and DW needs emptying. Lunch is parsnip soup that I got out for yesterday and I forgot. Dinner will probably be pasta bake.
talking about meals, MIL is always prepared to cook for us, so will prob take advantage of that this weekend.
Need to tweak ds's grim reaper costume for tomorrow, will post a pic if I can.
Have a good day, everyone."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Lunch - will be scrambled eggs for me and beans on toast for OH
Dinner - SC braised beef stew, then apple crumble
I still havent started on the jeans, I am right off sewing at the mo and really have to force myself to do it, I would rather be knitting hedgehogs
coffee finished so better get a move on

Mrs. N9eave - Best of luck on the job interview. You never know, it may just expand into something more.

Thriftlady - Your Winters Night Soup sounds delish! I'll have to give it a try soon. Thanks for posting your recipe.
Mel - I'd be ranting too! That was totally inconsiderate of the SIL. Perhaps you all should start showing up at their home at tea time frequently?
Sistercas - I hope you will be feeling better very soon. Please rest today and take care of yourself.
Csarina - Continued prayers for your DH and for you. It must be so frustrating with all this waiting.

Rosyred - Good luck at your hospital appointment this afternoon.
Twink - Thanks for sharing the pics of the snow. I'm not sure if I miss it or am glad it's not here. :rotfl:
Good morning everyone,
Two of our daughters and their 3 furbabies came over last evening. We all went for a good walk on the prom with the pups who had a blast. They have one of Bree's sisters from the same litter and it's so adorable to see them together. DD's then treated us to fish and chips for our tea which was so sweet of them.
I'm just off food this morning but brekkie was egg, bacon and toast for DH. His packed lunch is LO chili, sandwich, HM cookies and crisps. Tea will probably be jacket potatoes with beans or something along those lines. I didn't make a meal plan this week so I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. Not a good idea.
Last night's walk turned fairly cold when the wind picked up and silly me without a hat got a headache. It's still not left me this morning and I just feel yucky all over at this point. I'm heading out in a moment to take Bree for her second walk and then I believe I'll curl up under a blanket with a cuppa and just rest for a while.
((((((((((((((((((Gentle Hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) to all. I'm thinking of you all and wishing the best for each of you.

Fantastic pictures, Twink, but I can't imagine how you are coping with such a lot of snow. You must be really fed up with it now; I know I would be. I hope you are managing to keep warm and have plenty of supplies in; it looks as if it's there forever.

Why is it that if you leave your home for 15 minutes to take the doggy for a walk, the postman always comes with a package 5 minutes before you return? Will schedule a re-delivery now.Take the first step.

Not sure if its still morning, so hello everybody.
Good to see you back Sybil...
Hester.....your OH's family need a short sharp shock to make them aware of life's realities....so he would be a better man if he sat on his backside and waited for 'suitable' work would he...I think not!
N9eav...good luck to OH with interview.
Got my hair cut this morning....looks ok at present but not sure how it will be when I wash it to-morrow....grey stripes are widening and I am too lazy to do anything about it! Another €47 gone...
Picture but no sound this am from OH...we had a silly tiff last night and he is feeling sorry for himself...he will get over it and apologise at some stage but the silence is lovely at present!
Pork chops, roast squash and mash for dinner to-night, maybe chocolate pudding for after, depends on how soon OH apologises really!
Cold and damp here to-day, two loads of washing done, one in wm still, think that I am almost at end of indoor drying space so may not do any more until tomorrow.
Hugs to all in need or want, stay safe and warm
