Oh, how I love this site! I have just read Heinz's post (many thanks) and phoned Talk Talk and informed them I wanted to move to Primus because they were offering free evening and W/E calls.
TT, "If we offer the same, will you stay with us?"
Norm, "Why, that's very kind of you. Yes, of course I will".
That's another £7-£10 per month saving! Oh I love you people!0 -

The reason I say that is because, in the numerous other threads I have read about TT (both before and after the CPW/TalkTalk/OneTel/Tele2 amalgamation) I have read a number of reports of disputes about what customers have been told and, down the line a while, what they've actually been charged for.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Heinz, fair point which is noted. I did tell the young lady I was noting her name and the time/date of our conversation. She replied that the call was being recorded. So, I feel safe all will go well. If not, I can be like a Terrier with a bone when it comes to saving a bob or three!0

A 12 month period. I am on Talk 2 + 12. I use 18866 during the day and for Mobiles. I must change to 1855 (?) for my mobile calls.0 -
Yes 18185 is good for mobile calls. You would also be better off changing from 18866 to 1899 for peak 01/02 calls as they are now cheaper.3p a call instead of 4p.PF.0

I'm a bit confused. At the moment I'm on BT option 1, I divert calls to Just Dial (for free evening and weekend calls) and override them during the day to 1899 (3p connection charge).
Should I dump BT and go with the Post Office deal to get the £50 refund but keep Just Dial and 1899 ?????
  :rolleyes:0 -

Only if you are a very light user read The Money Saving Experts comments here :http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1095003038,99872.
You cant CPS your calls if you move your line rental from BT to another line rental supplier. So Just Dial would have to be given up.
The PO reserve the right to block calls to 1899 etc.Although they may be allowing them at moment. Talk Talk line rental have already blocked such numbers.0 -
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. This site and the people who use it are brilliant0
