I've taken the bull by the horns and changed my CPS from Sky to Primus. Unlike the previous thread I've just read, Sky would not match the offer and tried to put me off changing by saying it was too good to be true etc and that there must be a catch - I stuck to my decision though. Now all I have to do is register with the other 18's.co etc for the daytime calls and calls to mobiles, oh and make sure the teenagers in the household use them too :o. That I feel may be a bit like this ---- :wall:

Get an Orchid V4 and then you 'manage' them by programming it the way you want and don't have to train them.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I've just attempted to register for the caller display. The recorded message said it was available to customers registering for the privacy at home and make calls through BT - as I've just changed to Primus for calls does it mean that it's not available to me or is it BT just trying to pull a fast one. You will be making (the occasional) call via BT.

I make one call a month to the Chinese takeaway with a 1280 prefix to be on the safe side.

Personally, I doubt it's necessary (would BT really bother checking?) but it's worth 5.5p to be on the safe side to keep free Caller Display.
