Slightly off topic I know, but what I tend to do is put any coppers/small change into a pot and once every few months, go to the local Post Office, put all the coins into the machines (ignoring the funny locks when I've been there 10 mins putting in coins!) and get stamps out of there to use for Amazon Marketplace/Ebay. So really its only a few quic in small change I dont notice going missing every few months and I get stamps for it instead of it filling my purse!
Not really moneysaving but serves me well!0 -
well that's an old thread resurrected!

As it's now near the top of the page again, it might be worth letting people know that Superdrug have an upcoming promotion for 5% off stamps. The promotion is on from Monday 28 November until 11 December or while stocks last. A book of 6 First Class stamps will cost £1.71 and 12 stamps £3.42.0 -
Nice one Red.

Make sure they take the 5% off. I bought some and was charged £3.60. When I asked about the 5% discount I was told they normally sell at £3.68!!! I argued that 8p wasn't 5% and then told them how much it should be £3.42 . Alot of fuss for 18p!!! discount.
I'm amazed at how many people can't work out easy percentages, that's probably why I often get to use more than 10% of my coupons at Asda..0 -
If you want to get stamps at a discount, I find the best place is discountstamps@gmail.com ,write for prices, usually about 20% off and then order, the stamps are sent promptly and at no additional cost. :j

I believe these stamps are old stamps with a pence value specified. So you won't get any benefit if prices are going up, but useful if you plan to use them now.0
