5% off postage !! ?? Thats nothing.  I get about 15% off mine !!   How ? Well why not goto:-  http://www.stampsforsale.co.uk/index.html and see for yourself. I've bought from this seller 3 or 4 times with no problems. You'll find the relevant part almost at the bottom of the page, labelled DO YOU NEED GB POSTAGE?, PLEASE CLICK HERE
SELLING MIXED VALUES AT 85% OF FACE VALUE (MINIMUM ORDER £50 FACE)

What sort of mix of denominations do you normally get? Are there lots of large value ones or is it mainly lower value ones which can be made up to 2nd or 1st class letter post values?

Went to buy 5 books on Saturday. Books came up at £3.19 each, £15.95 for 5.
The assistant called the manager over because she couldn't work out why the 5% discount didn't come off the total (I didn't point out their mistake, obviously!)
To cut a long story short, they knocked another 80p off the total, so my stamps only cost £15.15, just over 25p each!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

about the stamp issue. I went into my local supadrug asked for a book of stamps and to get the 5% discount I had to spent £5.00 or more.Surley this can't be right.

No it's not right - it just comes off the till price

and the person above where the assistant said it hadn't been taken off - the fact it came up as an 'odd number of pence' should have told her straight away as they are books of 12 ;)
  • of not being good enough to see to fill it in. .

If you're registered blind (inc some partially sighted people) you shouldn't have to pay for postage at all. Ask at post office for "Articles for the blind labels". Anyone can go in and get these, just say there for a friend if they question you.
  • Regarding "Articles for the blind labels"; can you verify this information? I know of two elderly people who would benefit from this service.
Dont you just love a bargain?
