Morning, everyone.
It's frosty here. As soon as got home from the school run, I made some porridge so I feel ready to get on with the day. I am planning to bake this morning and finish my ironing. I am hoping my SC will arrive today. I want to make lamb curry on Friday.
This afternoon I am making aubergine soup and doing som of my OU work. Oh has gone to Dublin to watch a football game so it's just me and the boys. We are having Mexican chilli chicken for dinner. That should warm them up.
OH is surprised that my baking phase is lasting. My only problem is nothing lasts long. I am putting all the cakes I bake this morning in the freezer.
I hope you all keep warm and have a great day.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Good morning chums ,bit of a sad one for me today Yesterday my sis-in-law phoned to say her son in law had passed away on Monday night, leaving her DD and two little girls 6 & 10.Haven't found out exactly what happened .he was only 44 and as far as I know fit and healthy. So I may be MIA for a little while over the next few weeks.
I am waiting to hear from her today, she was so upset yesterday she could hardly speak bless her.So tonight give all your nearest and dearest a hug and tell them how much you love them, as one never knows when or where bad things can happen.
Sorry this is so short, as I too am very sad at thinking of this vibrant young Dad whose life has been cut short.
God Bless all here

Hiya:hello: .I know what you mean about the cooking.I've put nearly a stone on since I got the bread maker.I just cant resist my own baking and find the only solution as you say is to freeze it more or less straight away after a eating a small amount. I do donate to DS1 and girlfriend too.
DS! has not had any luck yet jobwise,he has an interview at an agency tomorrow, but it depends how far away the actual jobs are if there are any.DH and DS2 havent had a scrap of work for 4 weeks now so no money coming in.It is quite often very quiet after Christmas in the building trade,it was last year-fingers crossed it'll pick up.
One of the worst things for dh is that he gets bored when he isnt working,he's never had many hobbies as he's never had that much free time!
Right bm is bleeping ,onward and upward!
Take care everyone.xxx

Oh Jackie, that is awful! ((((Hugs))) to you and your sister-in- law and her family. You are quite right, we should always let those who matter know just how much we care. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Luca being a pain about taking his medicine, I hate trying to make sure he takes it...any of you cat people have any advice? I have been mixing it with his food...morning and evening but he seems to leave the food that has the medication in it!
If not, perhaps a small pet pill dispenser. I found some here and here. They got very good reviews from what I found.
Hi - just calling in to recommend an ink cartridge supplier. I have an Epson SC600FW all-in-one printer, and the inks from PC World would cost me £37.99 for a complete set. I ordered a set from an online supplier yesterday afternoon and they are already in my printer. The complete set cost £14.25 including VAT and shipping. I am really impressed with the prices and the service. They are www.pcfuel.co.uk and sell ink cartridges for all different printers. I just love to find such a bargain! What I do tho is lick the bowl out as there aren't any calories in raw cake mixture, thats right isn't it?!
(((((((((((((((Jackie)))))))))))))) Lots of hugs and prayers for you and your family during this very sad time. What a tragedy for all.
Hair is coloured and nearly dry. I was very surprised at the quantity of the colouring in the one box. My hair is quite long and it usually takes me 2 boxes to do it. There was plenty in the one! Not sure I look any better, but I do feel better now.
Tidying and cleaning are done. Bree is taking her nap on the settee under the blanket as usual. She's such a funny lil furchild. It will soon be time for another walk for her so I'm glad it's dry out.
I'll be making a loaf in a bit and will bake a couple of trays of biscuits from the dough I made earlier this week while it's in baking. Like someone else mentioned, sorry don't remember who, I cannot stand to just put one thing in the oven now. Before coming here, I didn't think about turning it one for one small thing. Small changes but good ones.
I'll call in later to see how you all are getting along.
Hugs,
Peyton xxTake the first step.

Just take the first step.

Morning all just nipping in to greet you all before popping out to go get a coupla bits. I don't do V Day but thought it might be a nice idea to send my OH a little packet. I haven't seen em since last May and they are having a hard time at work all stressed and ill etc.
I found a few little jiffy bags lying around from my Boots Trials so gonna send a little care package. So far have put in 2 samples of Fairtrade coffee - one decaf, 2 tea bags, one little mini creme egg and will go get a big block of chocolate and at my flatmates suggestion a doggy treat for the dog and a pair of socks to keep em warm.Just felt like a nice gesture to me.
Hope everyone is well. Will be back to do jobsearch and read the posts later.
