I got a Vanquis card and I'm not on the electoral role at this address. Maybe still as my old one but been here for 2 years.
Also they gave me a rate of 39.9% from the looks of it this is quite low for them.never-in-doubt wrote: »Ahhh, thats the reason! You have to be on E/R to get Vanquis.... i'd be appealing and sending proof of bank statements / council tax etc to prove you are who you say you are this may allow them to override the decline.0 -
So this is like an Vanquis club for those who have dire credit ratings? I have no CCJ's but a few missed payments and get declined for a standard credit card.
How long does the payment have to be paid off in full for it to repair? 18 months or so? I have quite a lot of debt that is 'manageable' but we do struggle and since Im self employed we have been using our credit cards to the hilt and recently missed some payments and had to borrow a lot of money to cover payments (!!!!!!)
So would a Vanquis card help, what's the crack, just pay off in full every month, do you have to use a certain amount or is a £10 the same as £100 as long as its paid off in full?0 -

I got 34.08% from Vanquis last month, got to say I was quite chuffed, as they way some mainstream cards are going, they aint too far behind.0 -

Still trying to rebuild credit rating. Vanquis is the first card I've been accepted for since 2007. Both Halifax and the Store card I have had since before my lightbulb moment but as they had little/no balance on they never got sucked away with my other debts.0 -

Same as myself. Am going to register it in the next few days, as well. Pay off in full is the only way with this thing. :T0 -

Dont want to preach to the converted but be careful with the Vanquis because if you get sucked in by them it can be costly.Trust me i know!0 -

LOL< yea - 54% APR or something horrific! :eek::eek:
People on here tend to get it, build up the green [0]'s and keep small balances then close it after a while...... usually the way to do it. They must have such a high turnaround of customers, maybe a lot of repeat ones too after the statutory 6yrs (if you follow me)
