They rang my mobile to confirm my application and to try and flog PPI and ID protection. They had phoned my landline first but didn't answer in time.0

Well I sent off my letter today to Vanquis asking them to close my account. I've put in one last bid for them to lower my rates, subtly hinting I'll stay a customer if they'll lower the rates.
It's a pity, my credit limit is high enough and would deffinately come in handy for those larger purchases but it's a shame my interest is so high.

Nah I wont. I doub't they'll give in but it's worth a try!
Atleast the temptation of spending on it will be eliminated, allowing me to focus on my other cards and increasing my savings account balance.
Plus, it is a waste of "available credit" if I can't spend on it. If it's off my file, then the other lenders will be able to give me better limit increases because I won't be over-committed, if that makes sense LOL.We’ve had to remove your signature.
