I'll be honest I don't really understand how credit companies really work, so was surprised when they rang so soon. After the saga of Studio and their slowness I didn't expect that much. Incidentally 2 toasters have arrived:rolleyes: I set up a DD as I don't want to incur any debt and then later on try for a mainstream card.

I thought you cancelled that bloody toaster ages ago :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry for confusion, basically you never got referred - you got an instant yes but they cannot confirm it to you out-of-hours so when they opened this morning (i.e. their systems synchronised with the CRA's) it generated the yes decision thus you got a fast call..... well done...

Anyone want a toaster for a fiver :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for explaining how it works, I should really apply in normal working hours!
Got a yes from Choice catalogue too with an £800 limit. Tried Freemans but later found out it was decline, strange really how it works. I cancelled the toaster but whatever happened got sent 2:D

Freemans are really bizarre. I applied for Grattan got accepted after a telephone call, then I tried Freemans 3 or 4 weeks later as they're the same company and I got declined.

Evening seeya have you any idea what your statement date will be? Want to christen mine with a new hair cut! Then use the up to 56 days to pay off the balance!
The apr doesn't bother me as I don't intend to give them any interest:D

Bo, you got an instant yes then! That does make sense, you applied too late for the instant decision so when the systems went live (8-9am) you'd have been approved. That would explain it. By the way, that should mean you could try a mainstream... instant accepts are a good sign that your credit aint that bad!

Well done on 'V' by the way - welcome to the club (the same club sutton can't join lol)

sorry, knew you were a woman lol - just forgot my table manners!

Does that mean I can be mainstream then as I got an instant accept for Cap One and Flybe ;p

But Barclaycard and Aqua wont have me!
