For God's sake 'Know-it-all' mind your own business! They don't have to provide YOU with anything. You just can't help dictating to people can you? Nobody has to give YOU proof of anything. Idiot.

    1. Your 1st post to this thread - its my ermmm, 100th odd! Ok, i'll mind my own business then on a thread I live in  Just to clear this up, I came on this thread because of you (allthingsconsidered) so why not log-in as your true self instead of hiding behind varying usernames? !!!!!!, forgot you can't can you cos we keep getting you PPR'd.... (watch this space;))

    2. They have to substantiate what they say or who will believe it? Its the first time anyone has had a decision in 12hrs - it just doesn't happen! Ring and ask them yourself!

    3. I don't dictate - want me to link all your previous posts where you just gob-off at people; compared of course to the help I provide to people? :rotfl:

    4. Idiot is a Hindi film from 1992- what has that to do with me :confused::confused:

    5. You make me chuckle - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    HI,

I'm new to posting to the site but have been lurking for a while.

From good advice here, I applied for a Vanquis Credit card and have been accepted ! :D

The card is ideal to build my credit rating.

But can anyone tell me the CRA's that Vanquis report into ?

Sorry if this is posted somewhere .... theres so many posts!

    Thanks

They definitely report to Equifax and Experian. I'm unsure about Call Credit

    Hiya

Can you do a favour and post the email date stamp (the one with your terms or the email confirming acceptance) and a photo of the card when it comes - sorry but Vanquis do not and cannot work in a 12hr turnaround - impossible, impracticle and downright wrong!

This kind of thing leads people up the garden path - it is so unfair.

Vanquis have never, to date, dealt with an application overnight and come back within 12hrs unless an immediate decision was obtained at the time you applied and they had a server hang time.

It is not possible to complete their checks in that time.

Sorry Bosie, know you're on here a bit mate but just cannot believe this without some sort of proof..... its unheard of. You are aware I have a very good friend who heads a team of Vanquis bulk account, batch processors - I mentioned this and he laughed at me and said 'yea right'. Says it all.....

Right, I'm not telling any fibs here, as Seeya had the same quick answer if you read his post. I did it early morning, got the we'll be in touch and thought right that will be a wait. I'd gone out in the day and noticed my phone flashing a missed called and there was a freephone number on there. I called this number 0800 0191 558 and an automated voice said Vanquis Bank tried to call you today...............

I spoke to a fella and he said he'd send a welcome pack out and my limit was £250, could not believe it myself as I did expect a wait. I don't want to be accused of being a liar. I also was emailed the credit agreement as soon as I applied.
I thought I would apply as Seeya got the same fast reply. Oh I'm a girly too!

Bo, you got an instant yes then! That does make sense, you applied too late for the instant decision so when the systems went live (8-9am) you'd have been approved. That would explain it. By the way, that should mean you could try a mainstream... instant accepts are a good sign that your credit aint that bad!

Well done on 'V' by the way - welcome to the club (the same club sutton can't join lol)

sorry, knew you were a woman lol - just forgot my table manners!

same reason - instant yes but you only get instant decisions in live time (i.e. office hours usually) so they'd have approved you the moment they went live - same as Seeya.....

I'll be honest I don't really understand how credit companies really work, so was surprised when they rang so soon. After the saga of Studio and their slowness I didn't expect that much. Incidentally 2 toasters have arrived:rolleyes: I set up a DD as I don't want to incur any debt and then later on try for a mainstream card.
