Ooooohhh! It looks like we have touched on a raw nerve then! Why are we arguing with a silly little boy?

Hes the sort of bloke who gets beat up in the pub for being a !!!!!!.

I bet his face is covered in horrible red spots, oozing with pus, his balls have only just dropped and he is a virgin with a tiny 6 inch !!!!. Why are we arguing with the "see you next tuesday"? :rotfl:

I don't think most people - certainly those with mainstream cards - have heard of Vanquis, and even if they have, it doesn't say Vanquis on the card so who cares who sees it?

I prefer my Capital One card as I like the online banking, so do tend to use that more.

In the UK Vanquis is actually well known and issues varying cards such as the Freemans Card to name but one! They are the superior sub-prime lender because they actually assess each application on merit and whilst the apr may be high, they will accept people that Barclays & Cap 1 will not touch.

I am not sub-prime, not by a long shot - but still have Vanquis and proud too. So your theory doesn't add up cos to be honest, most the people with mainstream must have started somewhere and whilst Vanquis do not advertise the same as Cap1 / Barclays this shouldn;t mean they are any worse - at the end of the day the 4 sub-prime cards are all equal in their own merit.

To clarify your Cap1 argument, they usually give one increase and the total limit is way under £1k, Vanquis however exceeds this.

I haven't expressed an 'argument' or 'theory', so not sure where this has come from  You seem to think I am belittling Vanquis in some way, but this is not the case.

I would say the majority of people looking for a credit card would probably try their own bank first or a card they saw advertised. Yeah if they didn't get it or had bad credit then they'd hopefully do their research, come on this forum maybe, and discover Vanquis/Aqua.

I had never heard of Vanquis two months ago. Nor Aqua. Doesn't mean I don't appreciate them giving me a card, nor am I ashamed of using them. I didn't say I was. I merely said I prefered using my Capital One card as I liked the online banking.

I have had no problem with either Vanquis or Capital one yet either but I also do prefer the online option.

I hope Vanquis can sort this out at some point. Is there any reason why they dont?

Vanquis are bringing it out in the future 'allegedly' to gold card customers at the roll-out. However not confirmed but i'd say around March 2010

Sorry I did think you were having a go at my beloved vanquis... me and her do everything together and I get sad when people belittle her. Its not her fault she's got a V and rhymes with quish (I best not go there lol)!

I do know what you mean regards to Cap1 but at least, if like you say, people don;t know vanquis and it isn;t hallmarked all over the card then surely a gold one of these blows cap1 out the water - especially cos cap1 advertise as being a sub-prime starter card?

    See what I mean.....
