why would you want to, more to the pointDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Does that mean you closed your Vanquis account and now want to open one again? The blurb says not within 6 months of applying but whether that also covers closed accounts I don't know. You would probably have to ring them and ask.
I had one for a few months in 2007 but then I had top set on clearing my debt which I did and I felt having the card was silly seeing as the mess I was in. I tried to apply again in Septmeber and it cancelled my application then I made countless calls to find out what was going on to be told once you have had a card you can never have another. I just wanted to know if anyone had because I am sure I have seen someone who had one and closed it and then opened one again.
The new applications team seemed to give me so many reasons why I could not have a card. One reason was someone with the same name has applied so its cancelled mine out, one has that it was cancelled because my post code does not exsist and another was that I already had a card!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Hi
Just got letter today upping limit to £1750 from January. Started with £500 Feb this year, use it every month for shopping & petrol, and pay off in full every month.
Used wisely Vanquis is OK.0 -
I just closed my Vanquis account, I hadn't realised they where owned by the provvie. I had an Aquis card, tier 'a' interest rate of 19.99% so it was lower than a lot of mainstream cards. I got spammed by the provvie shortly after getting the card. I am guessing that getting business this way is a good little earner.0

Applied last night online and got a call this morning to say I was approved. They!offered a cash advance of up to £450 also.0

Despite only having a credit rating of 1 out of 5 on noddle, I was pleased to receive a letter from Vanquis today.
After 4 months (from early Feb 2013) they are pushing up my credit limit available from £500 to £1000
In the 4 months I have used the card, I have always paid off the balance in full several weeks before the due date, sometimes within a week of using the card.
Cheers Vanquis, I am not proud of what I still still owe to HSBC, but at the last chance saloon, if I mess this one up, no second chance.
It will be handy having the new limit, not that I have proved that I need it, most months I have used less than £200, but its nice of them to show me a little bit of trust.
Thank you Vanquis0 -

A very good card to let you get back on the ladder, but must be used wisely as you say.
I went from 250 to 2750 in 18 months it was closed soon afterwards as I was accepted for a mainstream card0 -
I have been accepted for this card but I'm not sure of my limit. I'm not looking to really use it just to have it for odd occasions to use and pay back immediately. I hope it'll help to get my credit score back on track.
The guy I dealt with was abit of a pest mind you. He was really pushing this PPI type thing I declined 5 times and he was none best pleased!Wins so far - Revlon Lip Butter, Teapigs Matcha tea, Johnsons Face Care Gentle Exfoliating Wash:j0 -
Been offered a vanquis credit card, I only intend to use this for emergencys as I have two small kids. They never told me my credit limit any idea what it would be? They offered me an immeadiate cash advance of £100 which I declined! To be honest not really bothered how much just curious?!
Thanks0 -
Probably £150 initial credit limit. Run it well and you may get an increase after 4 statements.0
