Vanquis are very slow to update accounts with payments, no matter how you pay. But as above when it does finally show it will be proper payment date.0

Just checked my account!
The payment is showing but dated 17th not 15th
The minimum payment now says 0.00 so I presume that's cos they have acknoledged that payment as payment for the statement?
My balance carries forward and credits to account both state the same figure so presume that is it for this month and they happy with that:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

Anyone have more information on the discount/benefit package that a company (in association with Vanquis) are trying to sell?
They are offering a 30 day free trial, followed by £6.95 (or £6.99) a month and you apparently get discounts and cashback at Asda, Tesco among others.
Think the sales girl also said you get a £20 voucher of some sort. All benefits and this voucher can be used and you can cancel before the end of free trial, keeping all the benefits.
I'm sure she said something like "Infinity Marketing Direct" but can't seem to find much info.
Any info would be appreciated!!0 -
yes, I got sent the details but on further looking the savings and cost did not weigh up for me, the good news is they cancelled over the phone with no problems so if you think it may be of interest then have a look, but as I say for me the cashback and savings were with stores i would not normally use.

Thanks for that info! I've agreed to the free trio to have a look, hoping that I can get some savings for nothing!0 -

What I got when this scheme was under another name was 4 dated £5 vouchers, three of which could only be redeemed after the free trial had ended.
I got my £5 and cancelled, they didn't quibble at all.0 -
Just received a phone call from Vanquis. My cards in the post with a £500 limit

Just a quick question....
I looked on my Evanquis on Saturday and my first statement had been produced. I logged onto my bank and set up the payment details and did a "faster payments" for the full amount.
How long should it take for it to show up on Evanquis that I have made the payment?
I used the card again on Sunday for a small amount in Tesco - I presume my full payment (from my statement on saturday) wont be affected as this transaction was after the statement date or should I pay that now too?
I dont want to affect my credit file by a silly mistake!
Faster payments doesn't work with Vanquis in the sense that it gets into your account the same day or the next working day at the latest: There is still the 3 working days it takes for the payment to go through Vanquis' system. Personally on the rare occasions that I send a bank transfer I allow 6 working days (3days for Bacs and 3 days for it to go through Vanquis to my account).0 -

Does that mean you closed your Vanquis account and now want to open one again? The blurb says not within 6 months of applying but whether that also covers closed accounts I don't know. You would probably have to ring them and ask.0
