Make sure you pay that £80 back ASAP, and in full if you can or the interest will mean you paid A LOT more for it than you should have done!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

I have just recieved my card and welcome pack this morning its sayingmy monthly purchase interest rate is 3.990%
and monthly cash/cheque interest rate is 4.517% surely this is not correct? I thought it was supposed to be alot higher or am i being silly and not reading it correctly?
Your simple rate APR is most likely 59.9% APR
Your purchase rate is actually 47.9% APR and your cash rate is 56% APR.
I believe this is their highest rate APR tier that Vanquis do. You are a extremely high credit risk in Vanquis eyes.0 -

I've found out why I can't have a vanquish card......at last and its not something I can do much about!
In 2007 I had a card which was issued by them but I'm sure it was Argos or some kind of store. Every time I try and appy it declines me because once you have one of the range and you close it you can never have one again. Apparently. Well so I have been told.
Can someone pleassssseeeeee tell me they have had a vanquish closed it and had another?!
It has taken me 8 calls and applications over 2 years to find this out!!!!!:eek:3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I think so but they have it wrong not me! haha
The joke is on you for putting yourself in hock to Vanquis to buy the latest iThing.
Funny how most of the iThing owners I know are up to their armpits in debt. Ha! Ha!
Anyway, for obvious reasons Vanquis prefers to quote its interest rates in monthly rather than annal terms.
A monthly interest rate of 3.99% is an ARP of 59.9%.0 -

You've applied to Vanquis 8 times during the past two years? Gosh!
Does Vanquis issue other cards? There is the Granite card, but that's a re-branded Vanquis card and they're pretty upfront about it.
I think you'll have to accept that Vanquis doesn't want your custom (again?).
Have you tried for a Capital One card?0 -
Nooooo not that many times. I've called them 8 times to try and find out why it's always cancelling and nothing happens - thought I was really bad!!!!!3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

I have a Luma. Vanquish has loads of cards . The Argos card is Vanquish. The manager rolled off loads of cards which they have:):)

Ah, so they do. I thought Argos was a difficult card to get, so assumed it was backed by a more up-market provider.
MrSilk mentions here that Vanquis has knocked him back because he previously had an account with them. Is there a reason you want a Vanquis card? Apart from high APR and premium rate telephone customer service, they don't offer anything that other providers don't.
Having said that, I completed a survey for them yesterday which suggests they're toying with the idea of offering some extras.0 -
I guess just to have another credit builder card. But I am doing well with other forms of credit so the light at the end of the tunnel is coming3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:
