My wife also got accepted on Wednesday, they offered her the same Repayment Plan Option, she told them to give her a chance to get the card first and that if she wanted she opt in at a later date then she would.
She also did the Barclaycard pre-application check & was given 70-80% chance of approval. She applied last nite and got accepted! Very surprised as she doesnt have any credit history, so she will run the Vanquis for 6 months as well as the BCC and then apply to her own building society (Nationwide) in 6 months for theirs & closed the Vanquis.

70-80% approval of which Barclaycard? If it was the BC Initial then that would tally up with her not having any credit history.0 -
Yeah it was the BC initial. £150 limit.
It's really just to start building a positive credit history.

Hi
I applied last Thursday around 4.30pm to get an immediate phonecall confirming it all.
I have just recieved my card and welcome pack this morning its sayingmy monthly purchase interest rate is 3.990%
and monthly cash/cheque interest rate is 4.517% surely this is not correct? I thought it was supposed to be alot higher or am i being silly and not reading it correctly?
Thanks
P.S i've already used £80 of it to buy out my blackberry contract to upgrade to Iphone and thats only really what i wanted to use it for and intend to pay it back asap.0 -
Have you got the decimal wrong, 39.90 and 45.17 sound about right?0
-
