ha ha yes, I do like to pretend I'm important - it's ever since I got my Vanquis card - went straight to my head...!!
You should see my housekeeper work - a real demon with the vacuum cleaner.
ps please don't tell my wife I refer to her as housekeeper..Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Am I the only person who hasn't had an increase since opening their account?! I opened mine in April 2010 and my limit was and still is £500... I spend and pay it off every month so this seems quite strange?31/12/2006 £8395, 01/10/2008 £5089.73, 19/10/2010 £835.00 31/03/2011 £0.00

I've had my vanquis card since July '10 - initial limit was £250, in december '10 it was increased to £500, however since then to date i have had no increases ... i like you pay in full and clear the amount every month, like i do with my 2 other credit cards ... there seems to be no reason or pattern to as/when you may/may not get a increase0 -
I've had a Vanquis Card for 3 Years now. Started off with £250 Limit, now it is £3,000 Gold Card. I have used it often and normaly always left some sort of a balance on it. I cleared the Balance owing last week with a Transfer to the Creation Card. I have now closed the account. It served the purpose i had it for which was to establish my Credit History.0

Since the only requirement to obtain a Vanquis card seems to be breathing, I often have to make sure I still am as they won't ever give me one0 -

Why close it. You could of carried on using it for every day purchases, which you could pay off each month in full, and use your lower APR creation card for things you may have to spread the cost on. Maybe a car repair, new boiler etc.0 -

The more credit, sorry more available credit, against ones name means less to borrow overall (might be a reason)0 -
Argh! Can't believe i have done it but just randomly checked my Vanquis account and i have gone over my limit by £3!:mad:I always pay my balance off in full and on the day my statement is produced each month and have just paid £50 to bring me back well within my credit limit.
I guess this will now really go against me getting credit limits from Vanquis:(:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21
