I got mine approved and sent in the post all last week, Its seems to vary how long they will take.
Shocked at the interest rate and dont know if I will ever use it now 59.9 percent. Its put me off.
use the card properly, and it doesn't matter if your apr is a million %
use it for everyday items, maybe online shopping and bills you can pay by credit card. Don't spend more than you normally spend in cash, then each month pay in full and its INTEREST FREE.0 -

Does anybody know what happens if I make an overpayment to Vanquis?
My limit is £500 but need to make an online purchase of £520.
Was thinking of making an overpayment of say £50 - which should (in theory) provide me with £550 in available funds.
Will pay in full after - just prefer to use CC over DC to get Section 75 cover etc.
Many thanks0 -

Dont do it. It's a credit card not a debit card. They will probably freeze your account. You'll REGRET it if you do it.0 -

yes difinitely avoid - knowing Vanquis they will freeze your card! you could call the retailer and see if the will take payment off two cards - as long as you pay a minimum of £100 on your credit card you will still be covered.BCSC Member 70:j

You will also find you have to prove to them where the £50 came from, that it is infact your money. Probably have to send bank statements. It will take weeks to get back. If you read the small print, it's clear that you cannot go into credit. Do what NIKO says and use both cards. Pay £100 by CC to get the extra protection. The rest on DD. Its a dead cert that your card will be frozen if you put it in credit.0 -
I over paid one month by about £9 just used the card as normal afterwards.0

Why not just use your card to pay £500 and pay £20 in cash.0
