    Did you really think they just gave you a fresh £250 to spend every month even though you only paid off say £25?

    Imagine what the debt would be in four months with Vanquis interest rates... :eek::eek::eek:

    I got this email... how the heck would they know my last name in that email if it wasn't from them - my email account is not related to my name... ?

    Edit, on the email it says If you have any questions about the survey please contact us at CustomerSurveys@VanqisBank.co.uk. NOTE: VANQISbank... !!!

    I wondered if this was linked to the PS3 thing, but I had a different email account registered for that...

    now I'm worried

    Yes, but that's usually a month after the statement is produced :) They'll always wait till they get paid before they'll give you the credit back :)

    I've no idea how they got surnames. My email is also not related to my name. Other typos apart from (vanqisbank.co.uk) the didn't spell guaranteed correctly.
    Never used a PS3 so it's not that, when I spoke to them they said it was not them. It is strange. The survey page link was to a genuine site. Norton 360 did not have problems with it. I did click block future surveymonkey requests. On the actual survey I entered NOTHING. I don't think it's to much to worry about, so they use names and emails. But unless you give your card details I doubt they can get them. Just check your evanquis a few times each day for a while. Also call them and tell them your concerns.

    @Kyresa

    this is interesting http://www.checkmyfile.com/content/downloads/BankSurvey2010.pdf It maybe is genuine after all. Maybe it's if you have used cra checking sites. This mentions vanquis and surveymonkey

    I still would not enter the competition though.
  • hey guys,
    I've applied for a vanquis card 2 weeks ago, I did the application online and the next day they called me to confirm some of the details, and then she politely asked for my last 3 statements! I handed them in and I received them back on tuesday (I asked for them back because they are quite important), with the statements there was a thank you letter, for providing the documentation that they needed.
    now, they called me last friday (27th) but I missed the call, then again this wednesday and I missed that call too because I was working. never heard ever since and now I'm kinda wondering if they declined me or what. still no letters of rejection but they surely didn't call me like thousand times that's why I'm thinking maybe it didn't go thru.
    does anyone know more or less how their applications work? how long does it take to know whether u got it or not? is it a good sign that they wanted to see my statements?
    im going crazy here :P
