It will be alot harder to get JD Williams accounts over the coming months as the business has a new credit control manager who is implementing a lot of changes within the department :eek:0 -
I was declined for a vanquis silver card, Applied online but the screen came up and said 'sorry unfortunately we cannot offer this product to you blah blah blah' not even sure if a credit check was ran, It looked like it could've been because i didn't meet the criteria perhaps ? At the time, I had no defaults, or any history of bad credit, I stupidly applied for the Granite card a few weeks later (Not knowing they were the same company' and of course had a letter saying that due to a recent rejection i wouldn't be accepted).
As of now, I have 2 defaults (One being a vodafone contract which was in dispute over fraudulent call usage, and the other a greenwood loan i took on behalf of someone else, the agent was a rogue and never turned up to collect payment, Or he was late and showed up when i was at work), Never had a CC, Got a current orange phone contract which i've had for 6 months, Which i was accepted for after the vodafone default being placed on my credit file ! Never missed a payment in this contract, Never missed a payment on my natwest advantage gold account either) What should i do ? where should i apply ?' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

If Skanquis have turned you down flat then you're in a very dark place
The only thing you might get is a Capital One Classic but I doubt it.
Just leave it 12 months."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
Well Vanquis turned me down as i applied only 4 months ago and wasn't on electoral roll at the time (Which i thought i was). Any way Cap One has accepted me £200 limit and so has vodaphone £10 pm contract. This will do me, finally on the way up.0

Limit raise letter waiting for me when I got home tonight.
Now up to £750 limit after 10 months. I pay off in full every month and no interest has ever been incurred. I do use about 60% of my limit usually in a month (although maybe not now). This comes straight off the back of a Very rise to £1650 and an Additions Direct rise to £350.
I feeling confident enough to make my first application sometime around April/May for a Sygma or Aqua. I've been running Vanquis and Capital One (still a £300 limit after 9 months!), paying in full and on time.
Which one will be my best bet? Anyone got any advice?
I'm beginning to like this trip up from default hell (5 years 2 months ago - very dark days)...bring on the mainstream :j0 -
Iv had my vanquis for just coming up 9 months now. I had a limit increase of £500 after 4 months paying my balance of in full every month. I have not received another increase as yet
was hoping I would. Is there any reason why I haven't. ?

Well done:beer:.
Was hoping to get a Vanquis card before i move next month, but looks like i'm going to have to wait to appear back on the electotal roll again once moved. Just mainly for their english call centre, cause when i ring up cap one i can't understand a word they are saying. Does anyone know when the council update the rercords is still January.
Thanks0 -

Vanquis Call Centre are the opposite - they don't understand a word their customers say and are totally incapable of fielding any form of actual query or resolving any kind of issue. Just because they're British (I'm ashamed to say...) doesn't mean they've got a braincell between their ears! Worst call centre ever.
Takes 6-8 weeks for ER data to appear on your credit file, BTW.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
