Sygma Bank are the most lenient creditor who search Equifax... well the Silver card is about on a par with the Barclaycard Initial in regard to score pass mark. They both search equifax.

Other credit card companies search equifax but also search experian.

Barclaycard and Sygma are the only two to search Equifax exclusively.

If you get turned down for the Silver card and Barclaycard Initial I'd say you've not got a hope in hell until you grab yourself a Vanquis & Cap 1 Classic, wait a year, and try again :o

Start can be upto a grand but the vast majority of the time it's £250 to begin with

I was accepted when I applied on-line, heard nothing for three weeks so I contacted them and was told by letter six weeks later no go. I still get e-mails from them every 3/4 weeks trying to tempt me to apply for a CC.

They offered me one by post, then refused me. But they still keep on asking if I want one!

TBH regardless of the rate it will be extortionate. Also remember they quote the simple (non-compounding) interest on the letter, not the APR, if for example it states your interest rate as 34.7% it's actually 39.9% APR :o
