  • I have applied for a vanquis card, had a letter asking for proof of id , passport/ d licence etc to be photocopied & sent to them , is this normal? Thank you x

It is if they want to verify you which they wouldn't do if they were going to decline you :D:D

I'd send them off, you never know.... (i'd assume they cannot verify you electronically via CRA's)...

GRRR Not happy... Statement 10 produced yesterday and STILL no Credit Limit increase. What am I supposed to have done wrong? Always spend up to the limit, always pay well over the minimum (in full for the last four months), never incurred charges on the account...

    Stupid poo poo heads :(

I'm an avvid user of mine... does the groceries every month... still nada. I'll call them, see how they're getting on with my complaint :o

EDIT: Well that got me nowhere. The chap just kept re-iterating the old tag line of "It's an automated system and no one is guaranteed a CL increase", "There's no human intervention involved"... but at the same time saying "You aren't likely to get an increase" and "Customers desperate for a CL increase won't get one".

What a load of self contradictory bulls**t. The 56 days is nearly up, thank god!

Just had an email from Vanquis asking for feedback via a survey on proposed new card designs... some pretty nice ones, like a Union Jack and St Georges cross!! Much better than their current bland designs!
    Next : £615/£1500 // JD Williams : £23.40/£450 // Vanquis : £190/£250 // Cap1 ?

    Jacamo : £0/£150

Currently my balance is £480, and on my statement, the minimum payment was £21. It advised me that if I pay the minimum, then next month I will accrue £23 worth of charges, how can this be even allowed haha

I find them shocking. I am curious to know how on a £250 card, the balance could be £262 in one month, and incurring charges already???!:eek:
