Thanks for posting the £5.00 discount code. Boots had cancelled my Brekkie hampers also, and informed me that I would recieve this discount in my parcel with my other items by way of an apology, but the voucher was not included in the parcel.
I have emailed Boots three times to ask what the code was or to send me my voucher, but surprise.......no reply.
I know £5.00 is not a big discount, but its the principal of the thing.
Will now order some photo frames I have my eye on.Tayyibah0 -
From memory, the "voucher" wasn't actually a separate piece of paper in the parcel, it was included on the despatch note with the rest of the order and was the EEFM-something-something one which has already been mentioned. There's a sentence in there somewhere about "sorry it's not included but here's a little something to make it better".
But then there was another voucher which was included in the e-mail which said "sorry, you not getting the hamper".
So is that TWO vouchers which can be used?0 -
I shouldn't complain (in fact I'm not complaining as such) but if I'd have been let down on this offer I'd have been disappointed with Boots.
However, I think people who are accepting vouchers because of the incompetence of Boots should take a leaf out of LondonDiva's book. (Nice one Diva btw)
I've wised up in the three weeks (?) I've been here and I'd complain more, especially if I was the poster who was housebound and let down by them.
Can't people say they've had to order replacements from John Lewis (as an example) at a greater cost in time and money and see what happens? (John Lewis still have some very small hamper type gifts in btw and are still delivering until tomorrow).
I'm not sure a £5 voucher is good enough IMO.
But I'm only thinking this way since I joined this board.
Try it. You've nothing to lose have you?0 -
Hi,
I was the one who's been stuck in the house with a dodgy foot! I was hoping to get the majority of this years presents using the internet, but Boots service has been shocking!
Emails have been ignored, getting no satisfaction with phone calls - several extremely lengthy - still waiting for somone with some idea of why I'm so angry getting back in touch.
The most maddening fact is that they took the money from my account on 9 December, then it took them another 8 days to cancel. Limped into work for the 1st time yesterday, got to check my bank statement..
..still not refunded.

Got an email form Boots today in response to the argy bargy.
Please do let them know how you feel at the HQ... Bad service from randomwebsite.com is acceptable, but from a major retailer like Boots is worrying & a disgrace. >:(
At the very least, they need to be aware of the scale of the problem to convince them do some work on their internal processes. If we want good service, we need to highlight it with people who are actually going to be bothered.
Please speak to the HQ, because when I spoke to them after convinient amnesia from the customer care website, they did not know & I was the only person who had made sure they were aware. :-X
