Just made myself cry again with my last post! Doh!

    Me too!

Its nice when someone else understands. Its horrible when someone tells you to stop moping when you are upset about losing your dog - just like when someone tells you to pull yourself together when you have depression. Thanks for your words - they mean a lot to me.

Shaz - I can only echo what WVW and upsetonerightnow have said. Please don't blame yourself. I found it hard bringing two children up even with my OH there to help. I think you do a marvellous job on your own like that and hopefully what you have done will show your son that he can't behave that way and get away with it. Im glad your parents will be around tomorrow for you. I can understand how difficult it must have been for you to do this and that you must be feeling guilty now but, as WVW says, you know he is in a safe place and can come to no harm nor harm anyone else. I don't think any mother would blame you so please don't blame yourself. Hugs for you.:grouphug:

Shaz, my heart goes out to you. I really agree with WVW, you have done th right thing, and by making your son realise th consequences and that hurting you and others is not acceptable, you may have stopped him hurting someone else.
You can't live in fear that your son will hurt you, so by taking action you've stood up to him and shown him that he's not allowed to act that way.
Please try to get some rest while he's at the police station, and keep in touch with us and your family. I'm glad your parents are coming over tomorrow.

  • I'm still awake only just, I did try to have a nap this afternoon but didn't get very far because of the phone ringing!!

I'm so tired now but I know that as soon as I get in bed I will be missing him again :( so I'm trying to be as tired as I can so I fall asleep straight away.

WVW Are you feeling better now after that hun?

What is everyone up to tomorrow??

    xxxx
  • Oh Shaz, It couldn't have been an easy decision to make I honestly believe what you have done is the right thing. I understand your son has a number of problems but you can't have him assaulting you. He's safe where he is and that is all that matters. Maybe a night in the cells will give him time to think about what he has done. I'm sure tomorrow he will regret what he did. Keep strong shaz.

The only time I've been in a cell was once when I was a teenager and I ran away from home, managed to get quite along way from home on a train, then rang home to say I was ok, mum said she'd rung the police, so I rang the police to say I was ok, they persuaded me to agree to meet a policewoman but then they put me in the car and took me in and locked me up. My mum couldn't come to collect me till the next day so I had to stay overnight. It wasn't pleasant but I was ok and I wouldn't say I've been emotionally damaged by the incident. And that was twenty odd years ago, so I would think things are much better for youngsters now.

It'll be easier tomorrow if your parents are their for support. Does he have a social worker?

Am off to bed in a minute - the good thing about crying is that it can sometimes really tire you out.

Hope you sleep ok Shaz, and you too upsetonerightnow

He will be fine hun it will give him thinking time on how he's treated you. When I was a kid my mum use to threaten me with it and that was dead scary lol! He's got people there looking after him I'm sure he will be fine.

I've been trying to win one of these 5 minutes round a supermarket trolly dashes so been doing some puzzles in take a break tonight, I've done quite a few and now my brain is tired so I'll probably get to sleep soon.

I'm dreading tomorrow as I would normally go and see my ex and be there till sunday I don't know what I'm going to do with myself :( I've not contacted him at all since yesterday and I'm not going to either. He will miss me this weekend because he will soon get bored of his mates.

    Night night sweet dreams
