@donnydiva: I sort of feel what you're going through. My dad had the same illness and had to get hospitalised after falling in our house (he had too much fluid in his lungs as well). This happened last summer and it got worse as he had a stroke while he was there...now I'm just thankful that he's alive although I know I don't show it to others around me much. I changed for the worse since last year.
On the note of nosy neighbours, you're absolutely spot on. I got them too and it really does annoy me to this day. I had relatives come over at hospital and the whole day was mostly spent answering the most instrusive questions they could possibly ask.
I think my dad's in deep depression though especially since now he's disabled on one side and having to rely on his children looking after him.[/quote]

tsimehC - thank you for the above, I appreciate it. Im sorry to hear about your dads depression, it must be so frustrating for him not being able to do what he once could, and possibly in his mind, still could.
Just because, as you say, you dont show it to others, doesnt mean you aren't feeling it deep inside.

And your comments re: nosy neighbours - where my dad lives they are all over 65, and you would think they would all look out for each other, being of the same age, but no, not a bit of it. I called up to the bungalow the other day, and found a card left for my mum for her birthday (which would have been last Tuesday) from one who hasnt been there long, and so obviously no one has said about my mum passing away last year. and visitors in hospital arent much better sometimes. One of them came from a group my dad had attended, and banged on about her health condition, how much money she had made through a property sale down south before moving here "so we're okay for money for the rest of our lives now", and how because my dad had been in bed for a while "ooh it'll take a long time before you're fully mobile again"!!

Hi everyone old, new and of course the 'baby'

Well I worked the last 3 days and happy to say the boss has left me alone to get on with my job so no problems there. Happy not working now for the rest of the week as I'm soooo tired as worked till 8pm last 3 days.

I'm supposed to see my therapist this morning, first time in over a year and I made the appointment myself, not because the doctor told me to. I'm not sure now if I really need to go and see him as I'm feeling okay, or am I just kidding myself because I rather stay at home and maybe catch up on some sleep. Have till 10H30 to make up my mind so if anyone has any views out there please let me know what you think.
    Be good, Sssssss

i think you should go, you made the appointment for a reason, and it would prob be good to talk to him, how you are feeling, i know that cancelling is easiest, as i have felt this way before too, but they will understand how you are feeling, good to hear the boss is leaving you alone now.

morning all, hope everyone is feeling ok today. feeling tired, didnt sleep too well last night, worrying over things. have a big meeting at josh school next monday too, and am not looking forward to that, as it sounds like lots of prffessionals will be there, and i think they have already chosen what school he will go to in september, and i'm not happy with their choice, but there is no chance of him going back to mainstream, and there not many special schools in our area, that can cater to his needs.
going to get dressed in a min, and go to aldi on my own, big step,, and would normally bottle out if there was no one to come with me, but they are having knitting wool, as one of there weekly offers this week, and thats something i cant resist, as i love knitting, its so relaxing.
meeting a friend for a pub lunch today too, so that will be fun too

    hugs all

Shazrobo, being a mum can be a thankless task most of the time and I think we all feel like we've failed at times. But from reading your posts I think you do really well in difficult circumstances. I think you need a pat on the back.:T

Rosepink - I know how you feel. I find it hard to ring people to make arrangements too and it is so disheartening when other people don't do what they say they are going to do.

Sssssss - hope it all goes well with your therapist. Just tell him/her that you aren't feeling too bad today but that it isn't always this way.

    Have a good day everyone!

    :hello: Everyone,

I was a bit late to see church friends this morning as my Easter Egg prize from Beautyguild arrived. Its massive and came in a huge Thortons box,I opened it up and just couldnt believe the size of the choc egg,it has 3 little trays of contenental eggs as well underneath.I have now stored it in my wardrobe.I then had an EDF Energy man come to see me to say about Gas with them, but I said sorry will have to chat to Dad first and see what he thinks and told the man I would phone next week if I wanted it or not ether way but didnt sign anything and he didnt pressure me,I gave him a mug of tea before he went as well.I then went to the church and saw friends, got my CPN later on.

    love and light,
