So what do you think, did I do right to stand up for myself or should I just have kept quite, because the last thing I want to do is end up going backwards after a 2 year fight to get this far. And what do I do if he starts up again. As for the money the job center have said they'll sort it out.

Of course you did right.. what would happen if you didnt stand up for yourself.
    Feels good doesnt it:D

RBK - Yep, it's called the "kissing disease" but it can also be passed on by droplets in the air. The incubation period is 30-50 days so the chances are that I didn't catch it from kissing.:rotfl:

    Hey everyone.

Sam and I went for a little drive on Monday, which was fun. I saw Weston-Super-Mare for the first time and we took the country roads there, which was beautiful.

Although, now I am completely shattered...two days on!
Bloody glandular fever! I'm disliking it alot. My spleen feels like it has alot of pressure on it and it hurts. :(

Watchmen comes out at the cinema on Friday. Woo! Sam is so excited. :rotfl: I am too, but him so more than me.

Anywho, welcome to all the newbies and hugs to those who need them. :)

    xx

If you have been given a contract of employment (employer has 13 weeks to give it to you so chances are you might not have it yet) your start date (and therefore your pay date ) should be clearly put down.
Actually it's two calendar months from your start date: I know as I had to look it up on the ACAS site earlier today.

I think it used to be 12 weeks (so did one of my managers), I thought it had now gone down to 8 weeks, but unless the ACAS site is wrong then we both were, in different ways.

There is cctv in the shop but I believe its erased every few days. As this has taken quite a few weeks I don't think it will still be there. My daughter was so upset about it at the time that no one even knew what he had done until about a week later - she didn't even tell us as parents and she tells me everything, we're very close.

I was going to write a letter to Head Office (my daughter's manager and all the staff have been very supportive to her and they all think its disgusting that he didn't get the sack) telling them exactly what I think and that, as they aren't protecting her from this vile person, we are going to take it further, ie the police. However, my OH has Friday off work and is going to ring them instead. He is quite articulate and good at getting his point across. We are not going to just let this drop. What if he does this sort of thing again? (Someone even mentioned to us that he has done it before - although we don't know if this is just hearsay)

This is true. As I said to you, if you stand up for yourself you are less likely to be picked on in the first place. As my daughter is only 19 and quite naive, we are going to stick up for her. Lets hope the idiot where she works and your idiot boss (substitute idiot for a stronger word!!!) get to the point where they realise they can no longer behave this way.

I'm sure your husband is as upset by this as you so yes it would be good for him to ring them up, but unless he gets to speak to one of the directors it's pointless. Something like this put in writing and send by registerd post. I still think report it to the police, ask to speak to a lady officier and get a crime number to put in your letter.

Is it one of the big phone companies or just one or two stores?

Unfortunately these idiots never learn if they still get to keep their jobs. My boss does have someone over him, the owner but if it comes down to it will he sack him or me who has only been there 5 weeks? yeap sometimes life sucks but if you can fight back.

Again good luck and keep us posted.
