Have a lovely time at the hotel Katie. I'm so glad for you about the ipod, I guess you will have to update your sig with all your wins now won't you!
I've woken up absolutely exhausted today, I've been overly tired since Friday, so I don't think I'll be doing much today. I was supposed to be going out later and I wanted to tackle th kitchen and bathroom today. Will have to see how I feel later. Going to have some lightbox now as it's gloomy outside.

Hello, I hope it's ok I join in here,
I've very recently admitted to myself that I have depression and have had it for a long time. I have started taking anti depressants and am seeing a therapist.
I've been withdrawn and basically shut myself away from the rest of the world, but now I am determined to get better and my therapist has suggested that I start doing activities to learn to be around people, trouble is I don't know where to start and I don't have much money and I don't want to seem as if I'm not trying.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm feeling quite down and apprehensive about my next session, I feel as if I'm going to be told off for not making an effort.

:hello: Everyone,
well I had a nice meal at the hotel. It was very nice.
the starters were:
Prawns with Marie Rose sauce and a bit of salad and it was lovely as it came in a wine glass.
Tomato and Basil soup with saffron in which was tasty and it had herbs too
main meal was Beef and Yorkshire pudding
dessert: was a huge piece of Black Forest gateux
we were going to have coffee and mints but didnt have time as my brother and his fiancee had to get a train back to London so we had to go,We went to my parents home, had a quick coffee and then it was time to go to Exeter.Dad then took me home on the way back so it was a nice drive for me.
No Exeter tomorrow for me because Karioke and lunch have been cancelled again,I was welcome to join them for some different activity and lunch but decided to give it a miss this time,so rang them and told them I wouldnt be coming but hope to go the next week if and when its on again.
love and light,

Hello Jess, welcome to the thread
Do you have any interests/hobbies?
What about joining a gym? If a Dr. is willing to refer you, you pay a reduced amount.
Do you have family/friends that you could arrange to go bowling with?
A poster from here (shazrobo) goes to a craft class where she's met others. Would that be something you'd be interested in doing?
I'm sure you're not going to be told off, please don't worry about that. Maybe your therapist could suggest something for you to do?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Hi beth!
How are you, sweetheart?beth wrote:That was a really good letter, Tiff. It covered all points and explained everything very well. Nice of you to spend time doing it too! I was thinking about my IB tribunal and whether it was worth writing to my MP. If you have any ideas what I could put in a letter I would be more than grateful (Im not being cheeky asking you to write a letter for me, I just don't know about MP's and how they work). Thanks beth - very kind of you. As shaz has shown hunnie, it is always worth contacting your mp. And it may even be worth contacting your local councillors too. Always a good idea to cover all your bases. The idea is to give your situation as much profile as you can, so that hopefully, out of all the people you tell about it, someone might come up with a solution. If you'd prefer, you can visit your mp and their secretary will write up a letter based on your appointment. I don't think many people know how MPs work hunnie - including themselves sometimes!
In my humble opinion, they are there to represent their constituents' best interests and should champion any just causes of concern.
I would never think of you as being cheeky, beth. It's not a problem - I said I'd help you if I could.
Here's the link to my last reply to you angel - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1481361&page=18 - post number 349. Have you been able to get any of the letters, or your own statement done yet, angel?Just to sum up your mission so far for you...- Request letters from your OH, family, neighbours, best friends, the cat (don't ask the dog!) etc., stating how they've seen your health affected by your illness? This can be very important.
- Write your own statement as to how your illness affects your life when it's at it's worst and why you feel you should be entitled to this benefit. You can look at some of your own posts here for some possible ideas.- Make sure you have a very recent letter from your doctor to take to the tribunal when you know the date, (if it happens), and for it to include any new changes in meds or your health. This will also show that your gp has not changed his mind about his opinion on your health.- Write a separate letter of complaint about the experience you had with the dr who assessed you.- Make copies of everything you have - it's amazing how things can get lost or how your own memory can fail you when you need it the most.- Take all of the above to Welfare Rights so that they can become familiar with it all before any hearing, and so it can all be put in your case file.Tiffy Tip:
I'd like to add another point here for general interest, guys - DOCUMENT! DOCUMENT! DOCUMENT!
Note the date, time, name, (and don't be afraid to ask any mumblers to repeat or even to spell their name for you!) and the details of what happens in every phone call, letter or action taken by you, or anyone else. When points need to be proven, or that brain fog descends, it can be a lifesaver to have this information. It's also amazing how sometimes, the quality of service suddenly improves when the person you're dealing with knows that you have their name!Let me know if you still need a hand with the mp's letter hun - not a problem. And keep staying away from the dizzy water, angel - well done you!
Take care, beth.
